As an internationally-renowned successful model, Gigi Hadid can often be found jet-setting all over the world. One minute she can be found shooting in Milan and the next on a New York runway. I mean, not that she personally told me any of this but Instagram did – it's the source to keeping up with all celebrity greatness.

And now, coming in clutch once again, the 'Gram is showing us just how busy she really has been. No, it's not one of those trendy Gen Z 'dumps' but a selfie showing the regrowth of her natural hair colour and rocking the 'shadow root' trend.

Confused, much? Well, allow me to explain. For those who dye their hair, you would understand how hard it can be to maintain, especially when your natural colour is dramatically different from said new hue. For one, it can be a long process and secondly, it can be expensive! Not to mention the difficulty in actually trying to book a salon appointment.

However, with her most recent look – which she debuted in Aspen for the store opening of Guest In Residence, Gigi is showing that root regrowth is the next big thing.

Not one to shy away or hide from Gigi's naturally dark locks, the star's go-to hairstylist, Laura Polko opted for a half-up half-down 'do. As shown, Gigi's ice blonde highlights frame her face perfectly whilst contrasting with the shadow root. It's the perfect low-maintenance hair trend for winter.

And if you thought she looked somewhat familiar, then you wouldn't be alone. In the comments section of the post, fans have coined Gigi the real-life Barbie, with some a select few reading: "THE REAL BLONDE BARBIE 😍" and "BARBIE irl".

Everyone's clicking on...

As for the makeup, created by the one and only Patrick Ta, Gigi is rocking a look that is not only Alps-appropriate but also very much on-trend. TikTok is calling it the 'cold girl aesthetic'. This comprises of a flushed cheek with a hint of sparkle on the high points of the face and eyes.

Basically, it's a look that somewhat resembles having been out in the cold without actually going into the cold, IYKWIM.

I know it's not quite the EOY yet but I must say, this may be my fave beauty look of 2022. We're ending it on a high!
