Now, I may not be with it 100 per cent of the time (read: blissfully ignorant in my very own world) but I could've sworn that we were in the year 2022?! Turns out I was wrong, as this morning, after waking up to see Kylie Jenner's vintage rockabilly hairstyle, I realised that we were in a 1950s time warp *shudders in progression*. I think someone needs to notify Cher that Miss Kylie can turn back time... she has, most certainly, found a way.
OK, so I may be ∼somewhat∼ fabricating the truth a little here guys (soz) as... wait... *shock horror* we are still very much in the 21st century. I mean, Kylie is no Dr. Brown. But in all honestly, her recent hair look that she wore to the Thierry Mugler Archive Exhibition could've had me fooled!
The beauty mogul took to Instagram just a few hours ago with a carousel post and story to debut the style. Not to mention that she wore the 'do accompanied by a completely see-through catsuit.
As shown, Kylie's go-to hairstylist, Jesus Guerrero has worked the rockabilly rolls look into a half-up half-down style, complete with a sweeping finger wave fringe. There's no lie in saying that I could wax lyrical about victory rolls all day – it is a classic style from the era, after all. But I'll save that for another time.
In true Kar-Jenner fashion, for the exhibition red carpet Kylie underwent both a hair and outfit change. As shown below, her locks have been snatched back into a voluminous bun that also features the most incredible crystal embellished headpiece.
It's giving: regal.
Everyone's clicking on...
I think it's safe to say that Kylie just confirmed the good ol' saying: "everything old is new again". Cher, girl, where you at?!
