OK, so, it's official: Dua Lipa makes a case for the millennial side-parting hairstyle – and TBH, we're not mad about it. We've seen some of our fave celebs sporting the style, from Megan Fox to Vanessa Hudgens, there's no denying that the Y2K hair trend (or should I say, re-emerged hair trend) has now been confirmed. We're dressing up like it's 2004, peeps.
Dua's new hairstyle comes to us via her Instagram page, where she uploaded a six-picture carousel post from the beach. Whilst it may be dark, * insert Atomic Kitten circa 2001 reference* the tide is [somewhat] high but we're holding on... to the peak MySpace era side part. After all, it is a look.
But before we get to the big reveal, let's take a look at Dua's Gen Z-inspired middle parting hairstyle that we see her frequently wear:
Not only does she rock the style with her hair down, but she does so in a snatched up-do, too.
And now, scroll through the below to see the *very* millennial-inspired look from every angle:
As Dua's hairstylist, Chris Appleton commented: "It’s giving Mother Nature 🤍🤍". Aaaand not only that but with her XXL lengths, we think it almost looks as if she's a mermaid who has been swept up into the shore... theories welcome, folks – I'm all ears.
Everyone's clicking on...
Though, hair and mythical creatures aside, we also have to acknowledge Dua's makeup-free summer glow. We think she's glowing even more than her pearlescent pink dress is.
Come on Dua, drop that skincare routine already...
