If you grew up with a sibling, especially one that's close to you in age, it’s likely that you’ll have some childhood photos where your parents matched your clothes. Maybe they even put you in the same outfit – and the whole thing was pretty adorable, right? Well, Kim Kardashian and Kendall Jenner just rocked up to the Oscars after party with their own sibling matchy, matchy moment – except the sister duo swapped out similar checked dresses for the same hairstyle.
Kim and Kendall arrived at the 2022 Vanity Fair Oscars Party together and walked the red blue carpet side-by-side. Alongside some impressive dramatic gowns and matching sunglasses (serving straight up superhero-by-day, glamour-by-night vibes), both sisters turned up with a snatched ponytail, complete with middle partings and we’re living for this cute sibling moment.
Kendall’s hair was pulled back super tight and sleek with the ponytail itself styled into very subtle bouncy waves. Meanwhile, Kim gave her ponytail a more modern twist with wet-look waves that were extra shiny – a look we saw her wear just a few days earlier in New York City.
Both sisters’ hairstyles were given extra drama, thanks to the help of XXL hair extensions for a much longer ponytail.
And of course, we know any kind of updo with a middle parting is a big, big trend this year. We’ve already seen Rihanna, Jennifer Lopez and even Kourtney Kardashian all rock middle-parted updos this year so far.
Now, if we could just have the Kardashian/Jenner clan all try that TikTok trend where you re-create a childhood photo – preferably one where they’re all in matching outfits – for their next red carpet appearance. Wouldn’t that be iconique? C’mon, Kris, make it happen…
