Like many celebs, Sofia Richie has dabbled in a few different hair colours over the years but has mostly stuck within the realms of her natural brunette shade and dark lowlights or brighter highlights and blonde hues.
Now, in a recent Instagram story, the model shared that she has dyed her hair once again. Switching over from the dark side, Sofia has firmly entered blonde territory. As she says herself on the post, she is "brunette no more".
Although we love a dramatic transformation, Sofia’s change has been kept quite subtle and we’re obsessed. The genius behind this look is hairstylist Tauni Dawson, whose clientele includes Ashley Tisdale and Jenna Dewan. Tauni has kept a darker root, blending it out with honey-toned highlights and two lighter blonde money pieces. It looks so natural and this approach makes it great for maintenance, too – a win, win.
As a reminder, this is what Sofia's hair looked like when she's rocked caramel brunette locks back in October:
And this is what her new hair looks like now:
Am I the only one getting Hannah Montana/Miley Stewart vibes? Sofia really is getting the best of both worlds.
Everyone's clicking on...
Not only that, but I’m also seeing a bit of a trend here, too. Sofia seems to go darker for autumn/winter and lighter for spring/summer, which makes peeeerfect sense. If there was ever a great time to switch up your hair colour, the seasons changing provide the perfect excuse.
Spring is fast approaching, people, so book in your hair appointments now...
