There's no doubt about it, we're in unprecedented times right now. The world feels like a strange place, it even has us missing our most annoying colleagues, which maybe explains Jeffree Star's latest move.

Cast your mind back to May 2019 when Tati Westbrook uploaded her "Goodbye Sister" video. Not only did she publicly end her friendship with James in it, but Tati also accused James of using others for klout and being a bad role model to his young audience.

Never one to miss a pot stir, Jeffree included himself in the conversation by posting some shady Tweets, before calling James a "Danger to society".

Jeffree promised to expose James with "receipts" but later took to YouTube to announce he decided this wasn't going to be helpful for anyone. While James posted an epic 41 minute video responding to the drama and seemingly debunking it all.

So, yeah, it's safe to say that Jeffree and James did not end their relationship on good terms.

However, it seems that the new sense of community that covid-19 has given us, has also extended to the YouTube beauty space.

Everyone's clicking on...

After James posted a video doing Charli D'Amelio's makeup (if you haven't heard of her, you're clearly not on TikTok yet), Jeffree posted a Tweet praising James' work.

"Umm you look SO gorgeous!!! James killed it per usual"

While James did not respond, the responses to Jeffree's Tweet were enough to show just how big a deal this is.

While we don't want to get too ahead of ourselves, we're sincerely hoping that this means a Jeffree and James reunion is on the cards.

Who knew a global pandemic would reunite two legends...
