Missing The White Lotus? Well, Netflix's The Four Seasons could be up your alley.The new eight-part comedy series, which is an adaptation of Alan Alda’s 1981 big-screen romantic comedy of the same name, is coming to our screens this week, and it's giving major The White Lotus vibes (minus the deaths).
Starring Tina Fey and Steve Carell, who will reunite after appearing in Date Night together, the comedy will see six longtime friends head out on a getaway, only to learn that one of the couples is about to breakup.
"I hope audiences feel like they are inside a big sweater with us, and also having a dinner party with us, and I hope that any of the joy and warmth that we all feel for each other all transfers to them, and that we are a comfort and provide some laughs for them in their home,” Fey, who co-wrote the show alongside 30 Rock writer-producers Lang Fisher and Tracey Wigfield, told Netflix's Tudum.

What is The Four Seasons about?
The Four Seasons follows six longtime friends who embark on a peaceful weekend getaway, which becomes not so peaceful when one of the couples reveals that they're on the verge of breaking up.
"It feels lived-in," Carell said of the show. "And I attribute that to the writing and the casting of it, too. It feels like these people have existed in each other’s lives for a long time. There’s a code, there’s an unspoken relationship that entwines all of them, and they speak the same language to each other. There’s a shorthand, and it’s funny."
Fey added: "Tracey, Lang, and I have talked about the show being a love letter to long-term relationships, both platonic and romantic. Because your life is ideally more than just the person you’re married to.
"Sometimes when you are struggling with something with just your spouse, you need a group of friends to bring humor to it. Those friendships really help marriages, I think. Having a person who just fulfills a part of you that your spouse can’t quite [fulfill] is very important."

Following the the trailer, fans flocked to X (formerly Twitter) comparing the show to the HBO's anthology series, which sees different groups of wealthy people arriving at a luxury White Lotus resort for what they planned to be a relaxing holiday. However, dark secrets of the guests, locals and hotel staff are soon revealed... oh and there's usually a dead body (or multiple).
