Saddle Up to Meet ‘The Abandons’ Cast and Characters

The Abandons has assembled two of the most formidable television leading ladies, Lena Headey and Gillian Anderson, to play rival Old West matriarchs in a sprawling Netflix drama series. One has gathered lost children that society cast away and given them a home, and a dangerous line of work. The other has money, a family name, and a bloodline to lean upon in times of trouble. Will the good guys and bad guys emerge as clearly as they tend to in Westerns, or is everyone their own shade of grey? Here's what you need to know about the players, and who plays them, on The Abandons.
As for the specifics of the setting, the show takes place in the Washington territory in 1854. There's crime, love, treasure, and secrets galore hidden in every dusty corner. Also horses! So, so many horses.
Lena Headey plays Fiona Nolan
Fiona, one of the two rival matriarchs on The Abandons, runs a cattle ranch and has a found family made up of "abandoned" young adult children.
You know Headey best as Cersei Lannister on Game of Thrones. Her portrayal of that complex female character earned her five Emmy nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series. She also starred in films like Imagine Me & You, The Remains of the Day, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies,and 300.

Gillian Anderson plays Constance Van Ness
Constance leads a very powerful, very rich clan in town thanks to the mining business. They're related by blood, and are therefore the nature to Fiona's nurture.
Anderson is best known as Scully on The X-Files. She has won the Emmy twice, once for The X-Files and once for The Crown, and has been nominated on three additional occasions. Her other television credits include The Fall, Sex Education, Hannibal, and Bleak House.

Lucas Till plays Garret Van Ness
Garret may be the youngest Van Ness sibling, but he's the heir apparent.
Till played the Marvel superhero Havok, a.k.a. Alex Summers, in X-Men: First Class, Days of Future Past, and Apocalypse. But he's probably best known for starring in the reboot of MacGyver as Angus MacGyver himself. He was also the love interest in the Hannah Montana movie, if you're into that kind of thing...

Aisling Franciosi plays Trisha Van Ness
If anyone's going to start a Romeo and Juliet situation, it's gonna be Trisha. She doesn't fit in with her family, and has been spending time with Elias, one of "the Abandoned..."
Franciosi starred in The Fall alongside the actress playing her mother on the show. She also played Lyanna Stark on Game of Thrones, who didn't interact with Cersei for reasons that make sense if you've seen that show. You might also recognize her from The Nightingale, The Last Voyage of the Demeter, and Twinless.

Nick Robinson plays Elias Teller
Elias is also starting to question and doubt his adoptive mother's authority.
That's Love, Simon to you, thank you very much! Besides playing the titular role in the young adult rom-com, Robinson starred in the mini-series A Teacher and Maid as well as films like Jurassic World, The Kings of Summer, Damsel, and Everything, Everything.

Diana Silvers plays Dahlia Teller
Elias' sister, however, shares Fiona's anti-Van Ness stance and righteous anger. She has very good reason!
Silvers was a series regular on the Netflix comedy Space Force, and the original film Lonely Planet. She also played Hope in Booksmart and Maggie in Ma.

Lamar Johnson plays Albert Mason
Albert, like Dahlia, is loyal to Fiona and more than willing to protect their family of misfits from whatever comes their way.
Johnson had a memorable role on the first season of The Last of Us as Henry, who joins Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsay's characters along with his little brother Sam for two episodes. He appeared on over 100 episodes of the Canadian teen drama series The Next Step. He was also in The Hate U Give and the Netflix series Your Honor.

Natalia del Riego plays Lilla Belle
Lilla is the fourth and the most mysterious "abandoned" child in Fiona's clan. You'll have to watch to find out her whole deal.
Del Rio's credits include Hail Mary, Promised Land, NCIS: Los Angeles, and a two episode arc on How To Get Away With Murder. She's also an accomplished voice actor you can hear on The Mitchells vs. the Machines, Velma, and the video game Gods of War: Ragnarök.

Michiel Huisman plays Roache
Roache is an outlaw, hired hand, and wild card. A rogue, basically.
Huisman played Daario Naharis on Game of Thrones. He's an incredibly employed actor. He was also on Orphan Black, The Haunting of Hill House, and The Flight Attendant to name a few. Maybe you saw him in the Blake Lively movie The Age of Adeline or the Netflix period piece The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society. He also plays "Gunnar" in the Rebel Moon movies.

Michael Greyeyes plays Jack Cree
Jack is an enforcer for the Van Ness family. It's that serious!
Greyeyes is best known for film and television projects including Crazy Horse, The Meadowlark, Rutherford Fall, 1923, Fear the Walking Dead, Woman Walks Ahead, and Wild Indian.
