Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are engaged! The couple announced the news with a joint Instagram post on Tuesday, August 26.

“Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married 🧨,” they captioned the photos, which feature a close-up shot of her stunning sparkler in an enchanted garden.

In case you haven't been following every single step of their romance from day one, Taylor and Travis met a few years back after he made his feelings known on the New Heights podcast. They’ve been going strong since, with multiple public appearances, PDA moments, and date nights.

Engagement rumors have been circling about these two for eons at this point, but back in May, a source told The Daily Mail, “Everyone is just waiting for Travis to ask her parents for her hand in marriage, her parents will say yes, and they can't wait for them to get engaged. Nothing seems to be imminent, but it will 100 percent happen. Taylor and Travis are treating this relationship as their last relationship, and when they get engaged, when they get married and when they start a family, it will be exactly when it is meant to happen.”

Back in December of 2023, Tay spoke about Travis to TIME, saying they have nothing to hide when it comes to their relationship. "When you say a relationship is public, that means I’m going to see him do what he loves, we’re showing up for each other, other people are there and we don’t care," she said. "The opposite of that is you have to go to an extreme amount of effort to make sure no one knows that you’re seeing someone. And we’re just proud of each other.”
