Fans are convinced that Taylor Swift hinted that she might be playing the Super Bowl during her appearance on New Heights, and now a source has confirmed that the singer is, in fact, in talks.
"Negotiations are happening with Taylor to potentially do the next Super Bowl," an insider tells the Daily Mail. "The NFL would like to make the announcement sometime right before Thanksgiving."
If Taylor doesn't end up performing during halftime, the source notes that she "would love to do the show a few years from now so Travis can experience it and not be in the locker room if the Chiefs just so happened to be in the game. At the end of the day, though she wants to do it eventually, she doesn't have to do it at all - her career is just fine as it is."
So, who else might play halftime? Apparently, "Jay-Z and Roc Nation have also been looking at making the show a little country by seeing if Post Malone and Jelly Roll would like to do it."
As for the Easter eggs Taylor dropped during New Heights: Fans noticed that she talked a lot (a LOT) about making sourdough, and that the 49ers' official mascot is none other than "Sourdough Sam." Noteworthy, since the Super Bowl is taking place at Levi's Stadium, home of the 49ers.
On top of that, Taylor said that she talks about sourdough 60 percent of the time, and this will be the 60th super bowl. Plus, she referenced the number 47 multiple times, and her 47th Eras Tour show was at none other than Levi's Stadium.
