Taylor Swift just surprised everyone by announcing TS12, aka her new album, The Life of a Showgirl. And the announcement went down exactly at 12:12 on August 12, which might seem like a random date, but was actually hinted at by Taylor allll the way back on October 18, 2024.

Remember this video of Taylor wandering around her Miami Eras Tour stadium with her cat?

There's a very distinctive "A12" sign in the background, and fans are just now realizing that it was a clear hint of things to come.

I mean, HER MIND, but honestly....should we really be surprised? After all, Taylor is an established genius when it comes to easter eggs. As she once told Entertainment Weekly, "I think the best messages are cryptic ones. Easter eggs can be left on clothing or jewelry. This is one of my favorite ways to do this because you wear something that foreshadows something else, and people don't usually find out this one immediately, but they know you're probably sending a message. They'll figure it out in time. Lots of examples of this exist through the history of my career."

She also told the Washington Post that "It's really about turning new music into an event for my fans and trying to entertain them in playful, mischievous, clever ways. As long as they still find it fun and exciting, I'll keep doing it."
