Gather 'round, those of you who just found out Taylor Frankie Paul is the next Bachelorette and have no clue who she is due to not watching The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives: there's a lot to catch up on. Taylor is known for having some of the messier relationships in Mormon Wives, so here's a quick recap on her ex-husband Tate Paul—plus where things stand now....

Taylor and Tate got married all the way back in 2016 and had two kids before splitting up amid backlash from the viral #MomTok "soft swinging" scandal. If that means nothing to you, basically, a group of mormons were "soft swinging," things got a little too intimate with Taylor and another guy, and it lead to the breakdown of Taylor and Tate's marriage. Tate has since remarried and is pretty private—though he does have a public Instagram!

And it sounds like Tate and Taylor have a pretty good coparenting relationship. Back in 2024, Taylor told Distractify, "My ex is doing great as far as I know. I love him and his partner, [who is his] fiancée, I believe."

She added, "We see each other weekly. We're at soccer games, so we're really good co-parents, so we're, like, good friends, and I just really want him to be happy."
