You might associate Prime Day with tech deals or savings on everyday essentials—and you wouldn’t necessarily be wrong. But as a running-obsessed editor, I can tell you that sneakers are one of the most underrated categories to shop during Amazon's marquis events. Since October Prime Day ends at midnight PST tonight, there's limited time to score massive savings on the latest sneaker trends—including editor-loved brands like Brooks, New Balance, Adidas, and more.

As an editor who has been covering every Prime Day sale since 2021, I can assure you that no one is more tired of digging through deals than me. However! I'm truly so impressed by these savings on the latest sneaker trends. Take this suede-wrapped pair of New Balances (in Life of a Showgirl orange, no less) for example: They're under $60 right now, and I guarantee you'll get so much use out of them this season. Or, try the controversial Mary Jane sneaker trend for 33% off. Training for a turkey trot? No problem—I spotted several running shoes at WAY less than full price.

No matter what pair catch your eye, you really can't go wrong—so long as you add 'em to cart before the sale ends tonight.

these editor-approved running shoes

Brooks Ghost 16

Ghost 16

Whether you're training for a turkey trot come Thanksgiving or spending lots of time on your feet this fall, these cushioned kicks from Brooks are a versatile pick. I've run thousands of miles in the Brooks Ghost over the years, and I love the soft midsole cushioning, bouncy stride, and ventilated upper that'll help you avoid overheating.

New Balance 997H V1 Sneaker

997H V1 Sneaker

Thanks to Taylor Swift, orange seems to be the "it" color of the season, and New Balance's lifestyle sneakers simply never miss. Case in point: these vintage-inspired, suede-wrapped shoes. I love how they look styled with baggy jeans and a baby tee, but the athletic silhouette is equally effortless when paired with leggings or running shorts, too.

Another popular color combo that's sure to draw compliments this fall? Maroon and pink. This pair from Adidas is *so* deliciously retro, thanks to the stacked outsole, suede panels, and classic three stripes. Pairs best with baby tees and your favorite baggy jeans.

Ryka Devotion Max Mary Jane Shoes

Devotion Max Mary Jane Shoes

A shoe trend I can't get enough of this fall? The Mary Jane sneaker. A combination of an athletic shoe and a Mary Jane flat, this controversial style is perfect for fall, since you can wear it with socks while dressing it up with skirts and dresses. I love that this Ryka option is a chunkier take on the trend, perfect for days when you're logging lots of steps but still wanna look cute.

Hit the gym, take a Pilates class, or head out on a Hot Girl walk in these stunning sneakers. They're a #1 bestseller on Amazon for a reason: the slip-on design and lightweight construction make them easy to wear for a wide range of activity types.

PUMA Easy Rider Vintage Shoes

My closet may be filled to the brim with shoes, but I'm sooo tempted to grab these vintage-inspired Pumas while they're on sale. The 70s-inspired silhouette and suede overlays make it a streetwear staple you can wear with just about anything.

Between the chocolate brown suede construction, the dainty lace details, and the gauzy ribbon laces, these sneakers are possibly my favorite October Prime Day deal. The sporty, low-top construction juxtaposes the frilly accents for a look that is *chef's kiss* for under $60.

Brooks Brooks Women’s Adrenaline GTS 24

Brooks Women’s Adrenaline GTS 24

If you need some extra arch support to relieve pain or correct your stride, score the Adrenaline GTS 24 while they're at their lowest price in 30 days. These running sneakers have "guide rails," aka additional support through the heels and arches to help keep excess movement in check.

New Balance 237 V1

237 V1

The 237 is one of New Balance's most popular styles right now, so I'm surprised it's still on sale during October Prime Day (at least, for now). With over 2,700 ratings and an average of 4.3 out of 5 stars, these pretty pink kicks are likely to sell out fast.

these lightweight runners

Nike Downshifter 13

Downshifter 13

Nike's running shoe lineup is a little overwhelming, but since these low-profile sneaks are the only pair I could find on sale from the brand, your options are pretty simple. Amazon reviewers say that they're both cute and comfortable IRL—and they're even on sale in a few different colors.

this colorful option

Gola Tornado Sneaker

Tornado Sneaker

Colorful suede sneaks are a great way to add unexpected flair to an otherwise boring sweater-and-jeans combo this fall, so score these violet and blue Gola kicks while they're on sale. The textured rubber soles offer plenty of traction while the low-top design pairs perfectly with skirts and/or frilly socks.

Though sizing is limited, these Gel-Nimbus kicks from Asics are worth grabbing while they're still in stock. The brand is known for its distinctly soft and squishy midsoles designed to absorb impact and cushion your joints—and this pair boasts an even more lightweight design.

I really hate to admit how much I love these chunky Skechers. The thick soles are so nostalgic as someone who grew up in the early 2000s, so they're perfect for channeling a little Y2k style.

Puma seems to be every celebrity's favorite shoe brand right now—from Dua Lipa to Rihanna to Jennifer Lawrence. Get the look with these retro cross-trainers; I'm obsessed with the subtle cage overlay (and the fact that they're under $55).

If you want a floating feeling while you run or walk, the Saucony Hurricanes are another great pick. The chunky rocker shape propels you forward, and the brand claims that its PWRRUN PB foam cushioning helps improve energy return—aka giving you a little extra pep in every step.

Brooks Ghost Max 2

If you're marathon training this fall, I'm sending thoughts and prayers. I'm also sending you out to buy these Brooks sneakers that are perfect for all your long runs; the rocker shape helps propel you forward, while its enhanced cushioning will absorb impact as you stride. You can thank me later!

Women's VL Court 3.0 Sneaker
Now 25% Off

Since low-top Adidas sneakers are *everywhere* right now, it would be just plain rude of Amazon not to include at least one pair in their October Prime Day deals. Enter the Court 3.0! I love the contrasting rubber sole with the black-and-white upper—you'd better grab a pair before your size sells out.

Never tie your shoes again—thanks to these velcro sneaks that come in a sporty cream-and-navy colorway. The flexible tongue and double-strap design make them a slip-on style that's still sporty, all for under $60 right now.

I love the sporty silhouette of these all-white sneaks; they're perfect for adding an athletic element to your look without being too casual. The retro-inspired paneling and low-top fit pair so effortlessly with denim, dresses, trousers, and more.

New Balance Fresh Foam 680 V8

Fresh Foam 680 V8

New Balance's Fresh Foam collection is one of the most popular running shoe styles on the market. They offer a high-cushion yet lightweight ride (aka you won't feel clunky), while the subtle rocker shape gives you extra momentum in every step. And since they aren't ~too~ chunky, you can still wear 'em for walks, workout classes, pickleball, and beyond.
