I wouldn't exactly classify "binge-watching Severance after work" as an occasion that calls splurging on an outfit, but I’m still a firm believer that it should still feel like a treat to slip into my comfy clothes at the end of the day. Enter Quince, known primarily for their direct-to-consumer model that cuts out the middleman (aka the retailers) and lets you shop directly from the source for a lower price. Luxurious, well-made loungewear that won’t break the bank? Consider me skeptical... and intrigued.
One of my colleagues did an in-depth review of Quince fashion last year, so I knew that they made chic, affordable office clothing (as well as an admittedly random—yet helpful—assortment of items that ranged from jeans to Japanese knives and, uh, caviar) but what about their loungewear? Do the cashmere and knit pieces feel just as soft as any pricier counterpart? Would their linen pajamas replace the oversized T-shirts that we all secretly love? I enlisted a handful of editors to test out a range of Quince lounge sets (think pajamas, sweatsuits, basics tanks, sweaters, etc), and spoiler alert: We were all obsessed. Let’s jump in…

If you don't already have a sweater in your wardrobe that's a total workhorse for those days when you just don't have the energy to put together an elaborate outfit but still need to look put together, may I suggest this one? The structured collar, the crisp stripes, and the slightly cropped length make for an excellent pair-with-slacks-and-run-out-the-door sweater.

I owned a very, very similar (now almost sold-out) sweater that I loved and accidentally stained in the wash, so I jumped on this one when I saw it. Happy to report that it's very similar for a more affordable price point! The sweater I was hoping to replicate was 95% cotton and 5% cashmere, whereas Quince's version is a looser knit made of 100% cotton. The latter isn't as thick, but it's super comfy and drapes in a really lovely way. I've already worn it several times in the past few weeks!
All good outfits start with a good base layer, like these stretchy, comfy, solid tanks. It would be nice if the tanks could be purchased individually, although a set of three for under $40 is still a great deal. Snag a pack of the heather grey, or go for the black or olive shades if that's more your vibe! (@ Quince, in a perfect world, there would be a white tank option, too...)

I've decided that 2025 is going to be a fancy year for me, so a Mongolian cashmere hoodie felt like a necessary and natural addition to my closet. It's amazing how much more put-together I feel wearing this surprisingly-warm, very luxe zip-up rather than one of my old college tees, even though both are valid travel outfit/coffee run outfit options. The matching straight-leg pants were unfortunately too long for my 5'3" self to wear out and about (say, to the airport) without tailoring, but they're great for hanging around at home!
Pants that somehow manage to sag around the waistband and ride up around the ankle band at the same time: Out. Cozy, luxe, brushed knit pants that literally caress your legs: In. Depending on how tall you are, the inseam may be a little long on these, but I personally think that the quality (and low price!) is well worth a quick trip to the tailor.
