I'm not going to lie: I have a *very* tough time with underwire bras. No matter how comfy they claim to be, I have yet to find an underwire bra that doesn't dig into my ribcage (though if you know of any, pls let me know!). And despite what you may have heard, you don't necessarily need underwire in order to feel supported—even if you're someone with a bigger bust. So when I saw the comfy wireless bra brand Shapermint making the rounds on TikTok (not to mention earning THOUSANDS of rave reviews on Amazon), I just KNEW I had to test 'em out for myself.

Ofc, as a card-carrying member of the Itty Bitty Titty Committee, I'm not the most reliable source when it comes to determining whether a wireless bra is actually supportive. That's why I tapped some of my fellow Cosmo editors—who represent a range of bust sizes—to personally test out four of Shapermint's most popular bra styles, all of which are available through Amazon (hooray, speedy Prime shipping!) and currently up to 70 percent off on the brand's site (!!). But before we get into our unfiltered reviews, here's a little background on what Shapermint is all about.

What is Shapermint?

Founded in 2018, Shapermint is a direct-to-consumer shapewear and intimates brand focused on accessibility, comfort, and affordability—like, less-than-$40-a-bra affordable, which is rare. In addition to wireless bras, Shapermint also sells camis, leggings, shorts, bodysuits, underwear, and other shape-enhancing essentials through its exclusive brands, Shapermint Essentials and Truekind. The brand caters to a range of sizes, and you can shop its products through Amazon, as well as through the Shapermint site. Oh, and in addition to being wireless, all of Shapermint's bras come with a bra extender to accommodate size fluctuations, which is v handy.

Now, keep scrolling to see how we really feel about Shapermint's bestselling wireless bras (including an everyday bra, a T-shirt bra, a lounge bra, and a bandeau bra) and whether they live up to the TikTok and Amazon hype!

Essentials Everyday Comfort Straps Wireless Shaping Bra

Pros

  • Straps are adjustable, convertible, and soooo comfy
  • Gives you nice lift and separation (even without underwire!)

Cons

  • Band tends to roll up throughout the day, per a few testers
  • Not everyone loves the sewn-in pads in the cups

Thick, adjustable, convertible straps? Check. Structured foam cups for lift and separation? Check. A hook-and-eye back closure for easy removal? Check. This seamless everyday bra really covers all the bases when it comes to comfort—and despite being wireless, reviewers are pretty impressed by the support this one offers. And while not everyone loves the sewn-in pads in the cups, others appreciate the shape they provide.

  • Material: 95% nylon, 5% spandex
  • Sizes: S-4X
  • Colors: Beige, Black, White, Soft Sea, or Rose Tan

Glowing Customer Review: "I’m a curvy, busty gal, and I have THE hardest time finding bras that fit. This bra fits PERFECTLY, it’s the most comfortable bra I’ve ever worn, and yes, you can absolutely sleep in it. The lift is great, [and] it looks almost identical to my old 'favorite' bra—just wayyyyy more comfortable."

As Cosmo Senior Editor Lauren Fisher notes, “I love how soft and supportive this bra is and the fact that it has an adjustable back clasp but can also be lifted over your head due to its stretch (we love options!). It is so, so comfortable, but for me, it’s more of a lounging or workout bra versus an everyday bra because I don’t love the shape it gives my boobs under more form-fitting tops and T- shirts.”

Truekind Daily Comfort Wireless Shaper Bra

Pros

  • Extra-wide straps help prevent digging or slipping
  • Offers light support while feeling like nothing at all

Cons

  • No option to adjust the straps
  • Some reviewers found it loses elasticity over time

If you want the comfort and freedom of a bralette but with a liiiiittle more shape and lift, this is the bra for you. The Truekind Shaper Bra (which has earned nearly 20,000 five-star reviews on Amazon, nbd) is beloved for its smoothing support, its stretchy feel, and its extra-wide, no-dig straps. Best of all, it has a hook-and-eye back closure to make your life easier (though sadly, the straps are not adjustable or convertible).

  • Material: 95% nylon, 5% spandex
  • Sizes: S-4X
  • Colors: Black, Beige, or White

Glowing Customer Review: "I’ve either had bras that felt like medieval torture devices or bras that were made with thin, stretchy, weak fabric that barely held up the puppies. But this bra made my breasts feel happy and free yet hugged appropriately. It fits amazingly! I’m a 36DD and got a large. It’s supportive, the boobs are shaped well, and they’re not dangling out in the stratosphere."

"Honestly, this bra is super comfortable," says Cosmo Editor Olivia Truffaut-Wong. "I love that it's wire-free, but not loose, so I still get a nice lift and shape without any discomfort or tightness around the band. I'll be curious to see how it holds up since the straps are not adjustable, but I have high hopes! I also love that it came with a bra extender."

Truekind Supportive Comfort Wireless Shaping Bra

Pros

  • Provides great coverage under the arms and around the back
  • Really does look seamless under clothes, according to reviews

Cons

  • Not a good fit for A-cups, per the size chart
  • Straps are pretty narrow, so may dig into shoulders

Found: a T-shirt bra that's *actually* seamless under clothes. Though some testers wish the straps were a bit wider for comfort, it's definitely a perk that they're 1) adjustable and 2) convertible, so you can get a better fit. Other benefits of this one include the extra-wide band to keep it from slipping around, the thick hook-and-eye back closure, and the lightly padded foam cups.

  • Material: 91% nylon, 9% spandex
  • Sizes: S-4X
  • Colors: Chocolate, Beige, Black, White, Latte, or Rose Tan

Glowing Customer Review: "I never wear bras without underwire. With a 38DDD, I need support. This bra fits so well. Feels so good. It's like magic without underwire. Didn't need to adjust anything straight out of the bag and no back bulges. Don't second-guess it! You will not regret this purchase!"

"I absolutely adore the feel and breathability of the fabric, but the cups are a bit more structured than I'd like," Cosmo Associate Editor Chaise Sanders says. "While they have good flexibility, I wish they weren't so perky-looking underneath my shirts. I understand some people may want this effect, but to me, it just adds extra volume that I don't want up there. Besides that, I appreciate the super stretchy band and adjustable straps. It's not as constricting as other bras I currently own, which makes it good for everyday wear."

Truekind Convertible Strapless Bandeau Bra
Now 31% Off

Pros

  • Comes with convertible straps
  • Side boning provides structure without feeling restrictive

Cons

  • Not everyone loves the built-in padding
  • No hook-and-eye closure, so requires you to pull overhead

It's no secret that a good strapless bra is hard to find. Even a more supportive bandeau bra can slip down throughout the day—or, worse, feel so constricting that you can't wait to get home and rip it off. Luckily, this bra breaks all the rules (in a good way, ofc) by using a combination of silicone grips and soft side boning to keep boobs locked in place. And while it doesn't have a hook-and-eye closure in the back, it does come with removable, convertible straps (both regular and clear!) for added versatility.

  • Material: 90% nylon, 10% spandex
  • Sizes: S-4X
  • Colors: White, Beige, Black, Soft Sea, or Oatmeal

Glowing Customer Review: "I have to say this is the most comfortable strapless bra I have ever worn. I wear it all day and it stays put—no constant pulling up and no discomfort. It lifts and stays put! I am truly amazed at its comfort. I am so happy with my purchase."

I honestly despise strapless bras (mostly because I feel like I'm constantly tugging them up!), but there are those 'fits that just call for a strapless moment. I was pleasantly surprised how comfy this one felt—and I was able to wear it for hours under a T-shirt without feeling the need to hike it up throughout the day! I consider that a win in my book. —Corinne Sullivan, Editor

Pros and cons of Shapermint:

linebreak

Pros

  • Quality and affordability: Anyone with boobs can tell you that bras aren't cheap—and IMO, "cheap" bras don't always deliver. But I love how Shapermint bras are both affordable and very high quality—not to mention its products are almost always on sale both on the site and on Amazon.
  • Inclusive sizing: Though Shapermint doesn't use traditional cup and band sizes—instead offering products in sizes small through 4X—it does have a comprehensive size chart and fit guide for each bra, with most styles able to fit band sizes 30 through 48 and cup sizes A through H/I. Plus, each bra comes with a bra extender to accommodate any size fluctuations.
  • All-day comfort: If you're someone who hates the feeling of pokey underwire (hi, it's me!), these bras were made for you. They really do provide that no-bra feeling that only the best kind of comfy bras can provide. And if you don't <3 your bra, Shapermint offers a 60-day fit guarantee with free exchanges and returns.

Cons

  • Sewn-in padding: Reviewers are a bit divided about the sewn-in padding found in Shapermint bras. On one hand, the padding stays in place in the wash...but of course, unlike with removable pads, you can't...you know, remove it. And while some people appreciate the shape and boost provided by the padding, others find it a bit awkward and unnecessary.
  • Limited styles: I'd love to see Shapermint release some more versatile styles, especially for plunging or strappy moments where a no-nonsense, everyday bra just won't cut it. The bandeau bra, for instance, is great for some off-the-shoulder and strapless tops, but it doesn't work for anything with a lower neckline, as the bandeau will show.
