Happy summer, ya'll! The season is upon us and you know what that means... new swimsuits! I have to confess one of my favorite things about the summertime isn't even the season itself, but the prepping! Getting new sundresses, cute summer wedged sandals, and of course, new bathing suits make my excitement for the season that much stronger.

But how do you find the right one? With so many bathing suit brands out there, it might be difficult to find the perfect suit for you. We totally understand how hard it can be to shop for bathing suits...and even try them on. However, all of the brands we've listed below are the Real Deal. Each one makes swimwear in hopes that when you put it on, you'll feel like a million bucks. We've got everything from brands that specialize in swim and beachwear to regular clothing brands that have swim collections. The range! Lol.

We wanted to make this list as extensive as possible, because we are but fickle human beings. One day you may feel comfortable wearing cheeky bottoms and a tiny top, and the next, you may want a one-piece with ample coverage. I feel that, and for that reason, I've got lots of options for you, below.

Amazon really never disappoints when it comes to finding a cute summer swimsuit. In particular, the brand CUPSHE has some great options for bikinis, one-pieces, or even beach cover-ups. This blue style comes with such fun cutouts and is made in several colors. Can't you just picture yourself in this look, relaxing by the pool?!

Jade Swim is truly such a great swimsuit company. The founder of the brand used to be a fashion editor and stylist, so you can trust that she knows what she's doing when it comes to making the best swimwear. This twisted top style is so flattering and allows you to tie it in any way you want! Perfect for a little après sea moment, if you will.

Personal fave here! I just loveee all things Aerie, especially the swimwear! It typically has a generous amount of coverage so no need to worry about your suit being too revealing. They also have really fun styles.

Revolve is a great retailer to find a sea (no pun intended) of different bikini brands and styles. One brand in particular is Devon Windsor. The veteran Victoria's Secret model launched her self-titled brand a few years back and let me tell ya, I'm glad she did. Devon Windsor styles are so cute. This specific 'kini is slightly on the revealing side but it's nonetheless so gorge.

Hunza G is a brand that has been around for a while, but about a decade ago they relaunched under the guidance of creative director Georgiana Huddart. This brand is one size fits all and I'd be lying if I said I didn't have any reservations about brands like that. However, Hunza G really strives to make their one-size styles work for everyone. Made from lycra and elastane, these suits have the perfect amount of stretch and coverage to fit any body type.

I'm sure I'm not the first to tell you but J. Crew's recent rebrand has been one of the most exciting things I've seen in a while. Their Creative Director and Head of Design, Olympia Gayot, has really spearheaded the transformation (you should follow her on insta if you don't already). Along with some awesome RTW pieces, J. Crew swim is killin' it. They have a ton of super chic styles like this cutout one piece. Plus, the website even provides a "coverage scale" for each design so you can determine which pieces will be best and most comfortable for you!

Abercrombie is another brand that has made some significant changes in their merchandise over the last few years, and for the better! Everyone I talk to considers Abercrombie one of the best places to shop for cute and affordable pieces. And their swimwear... second to none! This underwire bikini top is super sweet and provides a lot of support for those with a larger chest size. Reviewers write that this top "holds you in without over covering!" We love to hear that.

You can always rely on H&M to pull through with the best pieces for super reasonable prices. They have a ton of swim options on their website, including stylish one-pieces, bandeau tops, cheeky bottoms, and so much more. This top here is a soft, ribbed style with removable padding and adjustable straps. Perfect for anyone who likes a little more support!

L*Space has a lot of great tops and bottoms that range from full coverage to skimpy coverage. This bikini in particular has a cool ruched style while still providing the comfort and coverage you that want.

I must say, Emma Grede and Khloe K. really hit the ball out of the park with their brand Good American. They consistently produce super comfortable and flattering merchandise for women of all sizes, including a superb swim collection. They've got all different types of swimwear in fun colors and styles, including this sexy black one-piece. The coverage on this suit is a bit cheeky and the hip is cut high, but reviewers write that it is incredibly comfortable and not too skimpy!

Solid & Striped The Daphne Bikini Top

Bloomingdales is another retailer that has a ton of great bathing suit brands and in particular, Solid and Striped. This brand has been around for a while now and they have proven to be dependable when it comes to good beachwear. I love the gingham print on this bikini. The little flower detail and the lace trim make it such a cute and fun summer staple.

Okay so IDK about you, but back in the day I was OBSESSED with Alexis Ren and her summertime lifestyle. I used to hunt down the bikinis she would wear so that when I got older, I could wear them too. And what do ya know, one of those brands was Mikoh! They've been around for a while in the beachwear market and they've stayed popular because of how great their swimsuits are. This particular style is super flattering and provides ample support for the chest. Live out your Alexis Ren dreams in this Mikoh suit!

Are you thinking of continuing the rosette trend into the summer? SAME (sorry, I had to). This gorge one-piece from Same is the perfect way to do that. I'm obsessed with this, but if you're not sold on this style, you should def look into the other swimwear that Same offers. They have really unique and classy pieces that are perfect for a summertime getaway.

Monday swimwear is a brand that was founded by Natasha Oakley and Devin Brugman in the 2010s. When it comes to designing their styles, the founders focus on the fit by sizing their swimsuits based on cup size, with sizes ranging up to an E/F cup. This bikini in particular is really great because of its adjustable back tie, allowing you control over the amount of support! The recycled nylon and spandex material gives the swimwear a comfortable yet stretchy feel. Plus this green color... so chic!

Forever21 is another go-to brand that always seems to pull through with great pieces. This season, they have some fun and exciting swim that is bound to have you stuntin' on the beach. This cover-up crop top paired with matching boy shorts is just what you need for your next beach vacation.

Remember back in the day when Victoria's Secret got rid of their swim collection, but then a few years later they brought it back? Well I'm so glad it's back for good cuz I am obsessing over some of their styles recently. VS has great underwear and bras, and I think that translates very well into their swimwear styles. This particular top has lots of support and padding, a clasp at the back, and removable straps. Plus, it comes in nine different colors!

You can never go wrong with a classic swimsuit from Hollister. This brand just radiates SoCal, summertime, carefree vibes. This season, they've got some great solid color bathing suit styles as well as fun patterned styles like this navy and white checkered print. This silhouette is great for anyone with a larger chest as it provides lots of support.

I. Love. Staud. No seriously, I do. From their bags to their dresses and shoes, I'm so captivated by everything they produce. Even their swimwear is so cute! I can't say I've ever worn a swim skirt before but Staud is making me neeeed this. This style comes in a few colors and would be perfect for a day on a boat where you wanna look chic, but still be ready for water activities.

Triangle Top
Credit: Skims

There really is nothing better than a classic triangle style bikini top and honestly, I think Skims has nailed it. This top style is super basic but perfect if you want to mix and match it with different bottoms. Also, the coverage is just right for tan line considerations. In general, Skims swim is a 10/10. They offer a wide variety of coverage, many color options, and most importantly, their pieces are comfortable!

Another classic swim brand that has been around for years is Frankie's. They consistently have great bikini and one-piece styles that are top-notch quality. They regularly do collabs (previous have been with Gigi Hadid, Sydney Sweeney, and Pamela Anderson), so you can wear the same style as your fave celeb! This particular piece from Frankie's is a tankini (jump scare, IK). This bathing suit style has been quietly coming back to the bikini scene and honestly, I'm not mad about it. This top would look so cute on the beach with matching bottoms, but you could easily wear it to a bar at night! That's versatility, baby!
