Last week, Taylor Swift was out and about in New York City, seriously flexing her fashion chops. From the white peplum button-up top that confirmed her love of the trending throwback silhouette to the flowy floral Doen maxi dress that’s somehow still in stock, she’s been serving one standout look after another in the Big Apple, and we’ve been taking notes. Then, over the weekend, she stepped out in a stunning green, gilded metallic gown for a wedding, giving us the ultimate inspiration for the perfect wedding-guest dress this season.
The music icon attended the celebration alongside her fiancé, Travis Kelce, with the pair arriving hand in hand at a venue in Brooklyn. She styled the dress with dangling earrings, studded metallic heels, a messy low bun, and, of course, her signature red lip.
The dark mossy green color is absolutely stunning—and proof that a shade typically reserved for fall can work just as beautifully in the warmer months. But what really makes the dress stand out is the metallic sheen paired with the subtle pleating, which gives it incredible movement and dimension. The side cutouts along the bodice add just the right amount of personality, not to mention a little extra airflow for the summer wedding season.
While her designer version by Maria Lucia Hohan doesn’t exactly fit our budget, I went searching for a similar option—and the internet gods delivered: this affordable Petal & Pup pick from Nordstrom. It has that same rich green hue, soft metallic sheen, and flowing pleated effect. You can pair it with neutral shoes and accessories to keep the focus on the dress, or go the colorful route for something more bold. Either way, you’re in strong Best Dressed Guest territory!
