Hate them or love them (I’m ten-toes-down on the love them side), flip-flops are slowly taking over the warmer season aesthetic and are set to dominate summer 2026. And the pair I keep seeing all over my TikTok have me in my nostalgic feels. Havaianas—especially in bold, colorful shades—are popping up in all the most stylish summer looks right now.
Yes, those rubber flip-flops you’ve always dubbed “shower shoes” or the ones your dad wore on vacation without irony are officially back—and fully approved by It girls everywhere. Havaianas have always been That Girl, embodying what we think of when we think flip flop, so it makes sense that they are at the center of the current moment. They have that timeless edge thanks to their simple, chic design and sturdier feel that sets them apart from flimsy dollar-store pairs you can only wear once. Now they’re being re-embraced through more of a fashion lens, with style stars building outfits around them thanks to their bold, eye-catching colorways. Think: punchy pinks, blues, and yellows.
I’m also a big fan of the subtle square-toe shape some of the newer pairs of Havaianas have. It feels like a small update, but it gives the classic flip-flop a modern touch that makes it even more stylish.
