For the past 10 years, I’ve been proudly living the bra-free life (unless a look calls for a little support, of course). It’s freeing, it’s easy, and honestly, it feels pretty freaking great. But even as an avid #FreeTheNip supporter, I can’t lie: if a lace bra is cute enough to be the star of the outfit, suddenly all that no-bra energy is out the window, and I'm immediately interested. I mean, come on, they’re too fabulous not to flaunt. And right now, little lace bras (or as I like to call them, LLBs) are out and about, and exposed—just in time for warm-weather season—and they’re not planning on hiding anytime soon.
Specifically, they’re trending under shirts, but not in the traditional way where their whole existence is to just hold the girls up and stay hidden. Instead, fashion girls are intentionally showing them off, layering lace bras under sheer/mesh tops or lace shirts for a double-dose of lace that’s fully on display. It adds an extra something to an outfit that makes the whole look feel more interesting.
I’ve also been seeing them on TikTok, styled the way I used to wear them back in high school (which, as a self-proclaimed teenage 29-year-old, is a little jarring)—just barely peeking out of a low-neck top or a spaghetti strap tank. And honestly? It works. Suddenly, a plain tee or tank feels like so much more, all thanks to a tiny sliver of lace doing a lot of heavy lifting.
And might I add, as much as they're having a moment showing through layers, these bras are also fully stepping into the spotlight as the main focal point. Yes, worn as tops! Because, may I remind you, there are no rules to fashion!! Throw one on with a blazer or a light coat, and you’ve got this daring night-out look that means business. I’ve also been loving them styled under a button-down, popping out just enough for that office siren look. It’s polished, daring, and way more fun than your standard workwear.
What I’m saying is: 2026 is the year of the little lace bra. She’s a power move, and she deserves to be seen. This isn’t your average cotton undergarment for a reason. So don’t be afraid to let it take center stage—even if it feels a little like you’re walking out the door half-dressed at first. It’ll take some getting used to! But, trust me, that little flash of lace can add the exact oomph that takes an outfit from basic to wow.
