It’s the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards, and unsurprisingly, our favorite espresso-drinking pop star has done it again...and for once, we're not talking about her music. After a summer of hit after hit on the charts, Cosmopolitan's spring cover girl-turned-VMA Song of the Year winner Sabrina Carpenter has taken her pop star aura to a whole new level on the red carpet.

While we’re used to seeing our girl in booty shorts, sky high platforms, and '60s era baby doll dresses, tonight at the VMAs she channeled Madonna circa the 1991 Academy Awards.

Styled by Jared Ellner, Sabrina wore a vintage Bob Mackie gown that was originally worn by Madonna to the ’91 Oscars. The strapless white gown is covered in head-to-toe sequins and sparkle with a crystal encrusted sweetheart neckline. Sabrina tied her look together with De Beers jewels.

For glam, Sabrina paid homage to another icon: Marilyn Monroe. Her blonde hair was full of bouncy curls paired with her iconic bangs. Her icy eye shadow, soft winged eyeliner, and deep ombre lip combo complimented the gown perfectly. Safe to say she looked stunning!

Sabrina Carpenter won the VMAs on stage and on the red carpet. It shouldn't be surprising that she's nailing every step of the way, whether its her sartorial choices or her musical ones. After all, she’s working late... ‘cause she’s a singer. And we don’t foresee her stopping any time soon.
