Recent Cosmopolitan cover star and "Lottery" singer Latto is no stranger to the fashion scene, but this season was her first time attending the whirlwind that is Milan Fashion Week.
We caught up with her post-Milan Fashion Week madness, and she gave us all the deets on it being her first time in the city, how she prepared for the upcoming GCDS show, and what it’s like getting fully dressed and glammed in a car (spoiler alert – a giant mirror is a must).
“It’s been so fun! I love watching the shows and meeting the designers behind the creativity. It’s definitely chaotic, though. I changed outfits, makeup, and hair in the car three times a day within like 10 minutes as we drove to the next show! So worth it though.”
To prep for the GCDS show, Latto went through extensive fittings with the brand and her own glam team, where they discussed all things including her look, hair, makeup, and accessories.
"I usually have a vision or reference I’m going for and they help me make it come to life. We taped inspo pics to the wall where we did glam, and that helped a lot, too!"
For the GCDS show, Latto wore a blue and yellow geometric colorblocked dress with high slits throughout, which is actually a look from the GCDS Spring/Summer 2024 collection. And for the shoes, she went with white, knee high boots. She also added a neon yellow shearling coat and a black studded hobo bag to tie the look together, both which are pieces from the brand. “GCDS let me wear a show look part of the SS24 collection, so this was extra special! I paired it with soft effortless glam & a ribbons on my eyes that I thought matched the look and made the boots pop!”
Latto attended the GCDS after-party as well, where she did another quick change, this time into a fishnet bodysuit and leggings look with a sky high platform heel.
And as for Latto’s must-haves during Fashion Week? “I have to have the biggest mirror that can fit in the car. We do full glam changes in the sprinter in 10 minutes. Some other must-haves are slides for when my feet get sore from the heels. Gotta keep gum, a good handheld light, and my digital camera around.”
A self-proclaimed vintage girlie, Latto loves to go for a sexy and playful vibe when getting dressed. The one accessory you won’t see Latto leaving the house without? She loves her sunglasses. Maybe she can use them to hide while she sneaks in a nap after all the Fashion Week chaos...at least, that's what we would do!
