This weekend, I went to Coachella for the first time, and now that I’m back and processing a flood of brand activations, Justin Bieber literally singing along to his younger self, and an endless parade of cowboy boots, I can’t stop thinking about all the incredible festival beauty trends I saw while walking the grounds.
Amid the top-tier set lists and endless after parties, Coachella has become one of the biggest trend incubators of the year, and 2026 might’ve been the most inspiring yet. From celebs like Hailey Bieber and Kylie Jenner to our own Cosmo beauty editors on the ground, everyone tapped into some of the biggest nail, makeup, and hair trends for the months ahead. And even if you’re not headed to a festival on the upcoming circuit, these are the kinds of looks that translate way beyond the desert, and are perfect to wear on repeat all spring and summer long.
Ahead, the biggest beauty trends from Coachella 2026.
Floral Manicures
While everyone pointed out Kylie Jenner and Hailey Bieber’s simple yet chic Coachella outfits, one aspect of their looks embraced maximalist beauty: their nails. The floral patterns (done by the one and only @nailsbyzola) are perfect for summer, festival season, or literally any upcoming event that you’d want a cute mani for. And while I don’t have a giant diamond ring to pair with it, I’m obsessed with both of these detailed floral nails.
Hair Rings
Everywhere I looked this weekend, there was someone with braids adorned with hair rings, myself included. It’s a look that’s so easy to DIY (or get done by the Method x Ulta glam team, thank you very much), and you can wrap the hair charm around any size braid, as tiny or chunky as you please.
Gem Art
Body gems this year went far beyond simple rhinestones around the eyes—they doubled as statement jewelry for the body and face. From sculptural placements along the collarbone and décolletage to intricate designs across the eyes, there’s no wrong way to create your own gem art. They’re also perfect if you want to keep your outfit simple but still add something that instantly elevates your glam.
Crochet Caps
Skull caps made a huge appearance at weekend one, with so many different crochet and beaded styles gracing the festival grounds. Not only are they super chic, but they’re also great for when the desert dust leaves your hair dry and tangled. It was a lifesaver for my day three hair—I’ll be using this equal parts efficient and boho accessory as my go-to hair hack from now on.
