We all know Rihanna is an expert on carnival looks. The feathers, the headpieces, the giant sparkling stones...it's all so gloriously extra, just like her! But apparently RiRi's got some competition, and her name is Jaida Essence Hall. The drag queen came to Cosmo with her best royal-blue ensemble, and it's so regal, you'll want to bow down to her. Here's a breakdown of how she created the stunning look.
First, you gotta lay down those brows, honey. Then add color corrector to any areas where you want to cancel out shadow and darkness. Set the corrector with powder, and brush off the excess. Use concealer to cover your brows, apply a neutral foundation to your entire face, and highlight your forehead, nose, under eyes, and chin with a lighter shade. Carve out your cheekbones, jawline, forehead, and nose with a contour stick, then blend it all out. Add some loose powder to the under eyes to start "baking" them.
Swipe a burgundy shade along the crease of your eye, and then blend orange into your brow bone and under your lower lash line, before darkening the outer corner of your lid with black. Cut the crease with some cream concealer, then top it with a gold glitter shadow. Line your upper lash line with black liquid liner, set it with black powder, then line your waterline with a white pencil to really make your eyes pop.
To define those cheekbones, pat loose powder underneath, following the line of your contour. But don't forget about your brows! Draw 'em on using a purple pencil, and reach for a black shade to add definition, then highlight the brow bone with concealer. Line your lips with the same purple pencil and then fill them in with a bright magenta liquid lipstick, blotting pink liquid lipstick in the center of your pout to create an ombrƩ effect. And this is important: don't forget to gloss.
To finish it all off, dust some highlighter onto your cheekbones and nose, pop in some colored contacts, and glue on a pair of dramatic fake lashes. And finally, throw on your bejeweled feather ensemble, as ya do.
