the glowdown

Can you outsmart a dermatologist? We created "The Glowdown," a cute lil game show hosted by board-certified dermatologist Adeline Kikam, MD, where we challenged two beauty directors—including Cosmo's own Julee Wilson—to take that bet and face off against each other. Inspired by Drunk Elephant's new C-Luma Hydrabright Serum, the contest's theme was all about the benefits of vitamin C.

The competition was fierce; Julee's opponent was beauty director Danielle James, who brought plenty of knowledge and personal experience to the table. The players were challenged by questions like, "What is the difference between sodium ascorbyl phosphate and L-ascorbic acid?" and "Name three ways one can reduce risk of hyperpigmentation?." The prize for their expertise? A fresh bottle of C-Luma Hydrabright Serum, ofc.

Think you know your stuff too? Watch the video above to test your own vitamin C smarts and keep reading to learn more about C-Luma.

Hearst-Owned

If you've been looking for a gentle yet effective vitamin C serum, your skin is about to get #blessed.

C-Luma has a blend of 10 percent vitamin C featuring sodium ascorbyl phosphate, a derivative of the antioxidant that's good for all skin types, including sensitive. It offers instant hydrating benefits and then works to fade the look of hyperpigmentation and post-breakout marks, plus improve skin clarity and elasticity with consistent use (it can be applied morning and night). The result is happy, healthy skin that's glowy AF.
