• An insider for the Daily Mail claimed “Millie Bobby Brown filed a harassment and bullying claim” against David Harbour “before they started shooting the last season” of Stranger Things earlier this month.
  • Millie and David shared a wholesome moment on the red carpet of the Stranger Things season 5 premiere, seemingly debunking the report.
  • MBB has since come forward and admitted she “feels safe” with David, as well as the other Stranger Things cast members.

The fifth and final season of Stranger Things is officially here with its first batch of episodes, and as we catch up with Eleven and Hopper in the Upside Down, we’ve also got an update on Millie Bobby Brown and David Harbour’s relationship behind the scenes. In a recent interview with Deadline, Millie got candid about her connection with David.

Of course I felt safe,” Millie said of her working relationship with David in the interview, which was published on November 28. “We’ve worked together for 10 years. I feel safe with everyone on that set.”

She continued, “We also play father and daughter, so naturally, you have a closer bond than the rest, because we have had some really intense scenes together, especially in season two.”

“I love it,” she said of working with the Thunderbolts* actor. “It makes me wanna bring my A-game every single time I see that I’m on the call sheet working with him, because I know he’s bringing it right back.”

Over the years, the duo has played a father-daughter dynamic on screen, so when a report from the Daily Mail claimed “Millie Bobby Brown filed a harassment and bullying claim” against David Harbour “before they started shooting the last season” of Stranger Things earlier this month, it raised some eyebrows.

Things looked even more suspicious when David wasn’t taking part in the Stranger Things 5 press tour after making some headlines thanks to Lily Allen’s album inspired by their split, West End Girl. But, according to an E! News source “with knowledge,” he was “never confirmed” for the junket, and didn’t pull out of any appearances. Per Deadline, David had to skip Stranger Things press due to a prior obligation: Courteney Cox’s new movie, Evil Genius.

As for MBB and David, it seems like they’ve remained friendly as they shared a wholesome moment on the red carpet of the Stranger Things 5 premiere.

TikTok lip-reader Jackie Gonzalez (aka @tismejackieg) revealed the convo Millie and David seemingly had while posing together.

“I’m not as handsome as Jake!” David said, referring to Millie’s husband, Jake Bongiovi. “I’m not. It’s not my fault, it’s just genetics, so…” he added, as Millie chimed in, “It’s my genes.”

The Florence by Mills founder then asked David if he “ever recognizes” the photographers on red carpets. “I recognize them all the time, it’s usually the same people every time,” she said as they walked off.

David has yet to weigh in on the rumors, but according to Millie, there’s no bad blood here.
