Exclusive: Spotify Reveals the Top Romance Audiobooks of the Year in Honor of Wrapped 2025

You listened all year long and these are the top audiobooks that will make our bookshelves jealous!

Spotify really expanded from being our favorite place to listen to our most beloved artists to now also being the best place to listen to your TBR. And now with Spotify Wrapped finally here, it's time for us to take a look back at the year to see what really stood out amongst the crowd when it came to our favorite reads. Whether you listened to it for your next book club meeting or to prepare for the upcoming adaptation that is no doubt getting us excited for the new year, these romance books made it to the top of the list thanks to how much we listened to them.

If you thought you could guess the number one spot, it might surprise you. With so many amazing titles released and so many others being rediscovered, it's anyone's game really. Thankfully, in the spirit of Wrapped, Spotify is revealing the top 10 that absolutely became the ultimate listens in the past year!

Here are the top romance audiobooks on Spotify for 2025:

Narrated by Stella Bloom & Anthony Palmini

Romantasy remains supreme as Callie Hart tops the list for the first time with her instant hit, Quicksilver. Now is the perfect time to catch up to the iconic novel as the second book, Brimstone, was just released. It makes us wonder if the hot sequel will top next year's list.

Narrated by Elena Wolfe & Jacob Morgan

Navessa Allen's humor mixed along with masked men made this dark romance a must-listen. It seems like time hasn't slowed down the excitement for the novel, as it jumps from number 10 from last year's list. And that's not all...

Narrated by Teddy Hamilton, Kasi Hollowell, & Jason June

Caught Up has also joined the list, rounding out the top three and showing the power of Navessa's Into Darkness series. And with book three coming out in March, it's showing no signs of slowing down.

Four years after its big release, fans cannot get enough of Ali Hazelwood's incredible debut that keeps us absolutely wanting more from the author whose STEMinist novels have definitely changed the game. With an upcoming adaptation coming up starring Lili Reinhart and Tom Bateman currently in the works, no doubt some new fans will be discovering this title again real soon.

Narrated by Elizabeth Lamont & Eric Nolan

It was clear in Not in Love that Maya Kilgore and Conor Harkness had a lot of history between them. And fans were certainly hungry to see more of that in their own novel that takes place in a hot and stunning Sicilian villa that we only wish we could also stay at.

Narrated by Ellie Gossage & Teddy Hamilton

Ali Hazelwood continues her hot streak, this time with a paranormal romance that is also the companion novel to her best seller Bride. It also introduced some readers to knotting and for that we will forever thank her.

Narrated by Julia Whelan

We know we're not the only ones counting down the days until the upcoming Netflix film adaptation of People We Meet on Vacation, but at least we have the audiobook to keep us company as we prepare to see it on the small screen. And with an incredible performance by the legendary Julia Whelan, this will always be one of our comfort listens.

Sarah MacLean may be mostly known for her historical romances, but this contemporary novel took the world by storm (no pun, intended) as fans flocked to see the author work in a new genre that turned this beloved novelist into a bigger household name.

Narrated by Thérèse Plummer & Ben Holtzmuller

In what kicked off Ali's biggest year yet, Deep End become a quick fan favorite thanks to it also being one of Ali's sexiest books as she dove deeper into kink and mixed it up with the intense lives of competitive divers. All together, Deep End delivers a hot and unforgettable book that we want to listen to again and again. Lukas's Swedish accent certainly doesn't hurt either.

The power duo of Emily Henry and Julia Whelan end our list with another incredible must-listen audiobook that continues to prove why we can't get enough of either of them. It's only fitting that they round out our list with a title that continues to be a fan favorite even a year after its release.
