Imagine meeting your favorite pop diva, listening to her brand-new album a week before it drops, and asking her all about it during an intimate press conference—because that’s exactly what lifelong Lady Gaga fans recently experienced thanks to Spotify.

Gaga’s creative team, Spotify, and Gaga herself joined forces to bring superfans an unforgettable experience with Spotify Presents: Little Monster Press Conference. 200 Little Monsters gathered in a grungy Brooklyn warehouse for a Mayhem listening party, where they danced with Gaga before she opened the floor to answer burning questions, press conference-style.

And, one thing about Little Monsters? They don’t mess with their love for Mother Monster, which is why they came fully prepared with all the right questions. Case in point: the first question of the night called back to “Ratchet,” an unreleased 2010s-era track by the “Disease” hitmaker and rapper Azealia Banks. “This is really is a Little Monsters press conference,” Gaga said with a smirk.

Of course, Mayhem was a hot topic throughout the night, and she shared a sweet story about her engagement with Michael Polansky, who was the inspiration behind her ballad, “Blade of Grass.”

“We were in the backyard [and] he asked ‘If I proposed to you one day, what am I supposed to do?’ and I said, ‘You can just get a blade of grass and wrap it around my finger’...and he did actually propose to me with these green bands,” the Grammy-winner gushed.

On top of discussing new music (and a potential tour!), fans are still hungry for a sequel to her chart-topping Beyoncé collaboration, “Telephone,” 15 years after it initially dropped. ICYMI, the music video for the track included a “To be continued” message... which has yet to be continued.

“The tea on ‘Telephone Pt. 2’ is that [it’s happening]...I’m not going to give it all away, you wouldn’t want that anyway,” Gaga teased. She also got candid about her 2020 VMAs performance of “Rain on Me” with Ariana Grande when another fan asked what she had whispered to her during the performance.

“I don’t know [what I said]! It was probably something very silly, because we’re very silly when we’re together,” she said. “I will watch it back, and I will write you an apology, and I will try to remember…I’m going to ask her, she might remember.”
