Welcome to OnlyVibes, the vibrator review series where we recommend a single sex toy that is really freaking great. Maybe you’ve never used a sex toy in your entire life, or maybe you’re a veteran with a nightstand drawer that practically buzzes on its own. No matter your level of masturbatory mastery, there’s a good chance you’ve had questions about what’s worth your money, especially since everything everywhere is more expensive these days, and vibrators are no exception.
Considering Cosmo’s almost 60-year history of putting your pleasure (and wallet) first, we’re firmly committed to ensuring you know just as much as we do about the pros and cons of every vibrator that comes across our desks. That’s why you can count on us to only recommend products we’ve personally tested and genuinely love. Ready to buzz in? Read on.
After recently launching our OnlyVibes series with the suction toy of all suction toys (looking @ you, Dame Aer), we wanted to go in a completely different direction for round two. As one of Cosmopolitan’s most seasoned sex and relationships writers, I understand the diverse, ahem, needs of our readers. While the Aer is fab for solo play and simulating oral sex, it fell short in partnered scenarios. So, when tasked with reviewing the We-Vibe Chorus—a wearable, app/remote-controlled sex toy designed for couples—I was intrigued (professionally speaking, ofc). Alongside my husband, who took exactly no convincing, we embarked on a week-long exploration of the Chorus’ varied and, dare I say, *impressive* orgasmic capabilities. It’s a tough job, but deeply understanding these products for you is my commitment. And the We-Vibe Chorus? Let's just say it’s earned its place and then some in our sexual rotation, blending discrete style with mind-blowing versatility. Love that for us.
The TL;DR: Why We-Vibe’s Chorus Is OnlyVibes-Approved
- It’s ultra luxurious (yet still discrete).
- It’s got a ton of different speeds, intensities, and functions.
- It’s perfect for couples, whether in-person or in a LDR.
For those new to couples vibrators, get ready for a paradigm shift. Unlike the usual toys that play a supporting role in partnered sex, wearable ones like the We-Vibe Chorus are designed for a seamless, hands-free experience. Shaped like a U, it fits snugly with one arm inside the vagina and the other resting externally, directly on the clitoral sweet spot. This unique design allows for simultaneous internal and external stimulation, even during penetration with a partner or a toy. So, yes, since the internal arm is slim and flexible, everything can fit in there at once. The best part is that the dual vibrations enhance pleasure for both partners, creating a shared intimate experience. Cute, right?
"Couples vibrators are about shared pleasure, deepening intimacy, and strengthening connections," explains Sophia Murphy, DBH, a renowned sex coach, relationship therapist, and the health director of wellness at TBD Health. She acknowledges that some couples might initially hesitate at the idea of a ~third wheel~ buzzing into their bedroom. However, she points out that these devices can actually dismantle insecurities, inviting both partners to explore and enjoy together and ultimately benefiting the relationship big time.
As someone who needs lots (and I mean lots) of clitoral stimulation during intercourse, my quest for the perfect sexcessory is ongoing. Or it was, until now. You see, despite various positions or fantasies (many of which involve Damon Salvatore from The Vampire Diaries), that additional stimulation is often key to reaching the finish line for me. That's why a toy like the We-Vibe Chorus, with its promise of enhanced couples play, made me all hot and bothered before I even got it out of the package.
From my extensive experience (including trying some majorly bizarre toys), I can say the We-Vibe Chorus def stands out. In fact, this lil cutie deserves more than just a trial; it deserves a permanent spot on the nightstand of any and all my adventurous couples (and yes, that means you) based on the v scientific and climax-inducing criteria below.
We-Vibe Chorus Pros
The Chorus is supes luxe + discrete.
First thing's first: The We-Vibe Chorus is basically the filet mignon of couples vibrators. Not only is the actual toy made from the silkiest, most body-safe silicone ever, but it’s packaged in the cutest little box (complete with pull-out drawers!) that made the gift-lover in me swoon. Like, I’m going to reuse this box to put jewelry or gold coins or treasures from ex-lovers in; it’s that adorable.
Packaging aside, the vibe also comes with a matching remote, instructions, a charging cord, a (v helpful) sex positions guide, and a packet of water-based lubricant. One of my favorite accessories, though, is the included charging station/travel case. The vibe and remote fit discreetly inside of it to charge, and when closed, no one would have any idea it holds the end-all-be-all of vibrating devices. This means you can keep it on your dresser without raising any eyebrows.
It holds its charge (and re-juices fast).
To say I’ve cried in the past over vibrators that died mid-sesh is not an exaggeration, which is why the Chorus is kinda incredible. The vibe fully charges in two hours (again, in its discrete case), providing an hour and a half of intense playtime. Plus, it can hold that charge for months depending on how often you use it, so it’ll be ready whenever you are.
Per the instructions, you’re supposed to charge the toy all the way before using it the first time. I, however, did not do that because I am impatient AF. The good news is that mine came partially charged, so I got to mess around with it right away (after washing it, because hygiene). Truthfully, I didn’t actually charge my vibe until my hubs and I went to use it for a marathon session, and even then, it only took about 90 minutes to get fully juiced up.
There are tons of different ways to use the Chorus.
When I say this vibe can be used a bunch of different ways, I mean it can be used A BUNCH of different ways. Unlike other couples toys, the arms of the Chorus are bendable, making it adaptable to various body shapes and sizes. So after some slight adjusting, I put a little water-based lube on the toy and slipped the slimmer end inside of me. I quickly clicked through the different options via the remote, surprised to find that each one offered a unique sensation that caters to different moods and preferences.
Settings-wise, the vibrator offers three speeds and seven patterns, from gentle to intense. As someone who generally needs a lot of intensity (both in speed and power), I wasn’t sure how this little device would stack up. Surprisingly, even the lower settings proved effective, perfect for a gradual build-up during foreplay. The fastest setting was my favorite, though, delivering that intense clit stim I so crave. (And, um, TMI, but the low settings also got me really wet, which doesn’t usually happen thanks to my prescribed SSRIs.) Oh, and since the vibrator is fully waterproof, it opens up a whole other world of bath/pool/shower sex, adding an aquatic element to your pleasure. (I wore it in the tub while reading an erotic novel once, and 10/10 recommend.)
Now, all of the above is literally just the bare basics of the vibe. The *real* game-changer is the squeeze remote feature. You see, squeezing the toy’s remote increases the power of the vibration, mirroring the natural instinct to tighten your grip as pleasure intensifies. It’s like that feeling when you squeeze a pillow or blanket because the sensations are so good, but here, your squeeze directly elevates the pleasure.
It’s great for couples in long-distance relationships.
Not all couples vibes are created equally, and IMHO, the Chorus is one of the best options out there for duos looking to spice things up. Since both arms rumble, my husband could also feel the vibrations while he was inside me, adding a shared dimension to our intimacy. The external arm provides focused clitoral stimulation, which can also be a game-changer for partners with clitorises in face-to-face or scissoring positions.
Beyond just the standard functions, the Chorus’ Touch-sense modes are a standout feature, adjusting the speed and intensity of the vibrations in response to your movements. Activated via the app, these three different modes let you control the vibe's vibrations/intensity with—as the name suggests—just your touch. For example, with the first mode, the vibration level increases with each touch until it maxes out, then goes back down to the lowest strength before the cycle continues. You don't have to click any buttons mid-play or fumble with a remote; the toy just does it. This responsiveness adds a layer of spontaneity and synchronization with your body's natural rhythm that feels lowkey like sex magic. Personally, this was my favorite way to use the vibe since it seemed more organic and less like I was fiddling with a Game Boy.
The coolest aspect, though, is just how LDR-friendly the We-Vibe Chorus actually is. You (or your SO) can make unique patterns, select pre-set modes, and pair the vibrations with music, all from the We-Vibe app. This option brings a sense of closeness even when physically apart, as your partner can directly influence your pleasure. I wore the vibe one day while my husband was at work, and it was incredibly fun to randomly start buzzing whenever he decided to surprise me. On his end, the app gave him a blank canvas to apply pleasure to me. He could literally "draw" patterns on the screen, which were reflected via the toy. So, like, if he drew slow circles, that's what I felt. If he did fast, repetitive rubs, I felt that too. These drawing patterns added a personalized touch, making the experience feel more intimate and tailored, especially for those playing together from afar.
We-Vibe Chorus Cons
There’s a definite learning curve.
The Chorus clearly has a lot to offer, and while that’s great for those looking to get a lotta bang for their buck (heh), it can feel a bit overwhelming for newbies. I spent a week using and researching this thing, and I still feel like there’s more to learn. The good news is that the toy comes with plenty of tips and instructions, and simply experimenting is half the fun. When in doubt, just think of it as homework. Really sexy, really hot homework, but instead of an "A," you get an "O."
Of course, every feature isn’t going to be for everyone, and while Murphy says the versatility is one of the best aspects of the Chorus, open communication before, during, and after sex is key to ensuring everyone is having fun and feeling good.
It’s not the strongest vibe in the world.
If you’re an intensity-loving girlie like moi, chances are you might be a little wary about whether or not the Chorus will work for you. Granted, it’s not the strongest vibe ever, but its design is intended to enhance rather than overpower your sexual experience. Properly using its settings, particularly the Touch-sense mode, ensures *chef’s kiss* results.
It’s pricey.
The one obvious drawback of the Chorus? The price tag. At just over $200, the vibe is on the more expensive side, but its multi-functional nature justifies the cost, IMO. I orgasmed easily while wearing it during penetration, and it made *giving* oral even better because mama still got hers while going down. Honestly, between being waterproof, LDR-friendly, and adaptable to all types of sex, you’ll get more use out of this one vibe than the rest of your toy box put together.

Overall conclusion: You gotta have it.
If you’re looking for a couples vibrator that’ll take you and your SO places that penetration alone could never, you need the Chorus. Whether your love is across the globe or sitting by your side, this We-Vibe gem is a must-have for any and all sex toy connoisseurs. As for me? It’s bringing my hubs and me closer together than ever before, one Touch-sense sesh at a time.
