Fans have finally gotten an answer about why Selena Gomez’s kidney donor, Francia Raisa, didn’t attend her wedding to Benny Blanco—but what about Nicola and Brooklyn Peltz Beckham? According to a source for People, any rumor of a feud between Selena and the Peltz Beckhams is totally untrue...as are prior claims that Sel was “cut off” and felt “betrayed” by the couple.

“There’s no bad blood,” the People insider says, adding, “Relationships evolve, and it’s true they’re not as close as they once were, but there wasn’t any one thing that happened.” Case closed!

A quick recap: Selena first became friends with Nicola and Brooklyn after they connected at the Academy Museum Gala back in October 2022, and by January 2023, Sel had deemed herself the pair’s “forever plus one.”

As Nicola said of Selena during her March 2023 Cosmopolitan cover story, “I feel like she’s my soul sister. I love her so much. She’s truly one of the most amazing people I’ve ever met in my whole life. The kindest person ever. Truly, her heart is gold. I feel like I’ve known her forever.”

The two even got matching “angel” tattoos...and if that’s not a sign of BFFs, then I don’t know what is!!

Even as recently as May 2025, a source for the Daily Mail reported that Sel and Nicola were still close, saying of Selena, “She has been talking about her upcoming wedding and loves getting Nicola’s advice.” However, fans began to wonder whether the friends had grown apart in August, when Selena and Benny were seemingly absent from Nicola and Brooklyn’s vow renewal.

The following month, a source for Page Six revealed that the Peltz Beckhams weren’t expected to attend Sel’s nuptials, saying Nicola was in “pre-production for a very rigorous film shoot,” likely in reference to the forthcoming dramatic thriller Pretty Ugly, which was announced by Deadline back in July.

Neither Nicola and Selena have commented on where they stand, so your guess is as good as mine!
