• Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor is being pushed out of Royal Lodge after more than 20 years of paying only a “peppercorn” rent.
  • A newly-revealed internal inspection shows the 30-room estate needs extensive—and costly—repairs after his tenure.
  • Although his lease would normally entitle him to “compensation” for early termination, the repair costs are so high that he likely won’t receive any payout.

After more than 20 years of paying only “one peppercorn (if demanded)” in rent per year to live at Royal Lodge, the disgraced ex-prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor is finally getting the boot—though reportedly, he’s not making things easy. An internal inspection of Royal Lodge was just made public by Parliament’s Public Accounts Committee, revealing the “dilapidations and repairs required” to restore the 30-room estate following Andrew’s tenure...and apparently, some major TLC is in order.

Reminder: As The Times previously reported, Andrew’s lease dictates that the Crown Estate would have to pay him £558,000 (plus a “compensatory sum” of £185,865 a year until 2028) in order to terminate his 75-year lease early. However! The cost of repairs needed to fix Royal Lodge is reportedly so high that “in all likelihood Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor will not be owed any compensation for early surrender of the lease.”

This latest bombshell comes amid reports that Andrew is demanding an enormous payout in order to leave the Royal Lodge—you know, on top of that “compensation” he’s already due for the early termination of his lease.

According to Rob Shuter’s ShuterScoop, Andrew is “refusing to leave” the mega-mansion (despite being evicted by King Charles), and he’s been “telling people he wants £75,000,000 to even think about moving out.”

On top of that, new details have emerged about Andrew’s reported requirements for his new home on the Sandringham Estate. A source for the Daily Beast noted that Andrew wants a “six- or seven-bedroom” home in Sandringham, with a friend of the disgraced royal adding, “Andrew has done exactly what has been asked of him, and he just wants to be left alone. He is giving up the lease on one of England’s finest houses and expects to be treated fairly.”

Mmmkay!
