• The palace has reportedly denied Prince Harry's claims that he shared his Canada plans with them.
  • The Duke of Sussex's trip to Canada was at the same time as Prince William's trip to Brazil.
  • Harry had previously (allegedly!) agreed to share details of his diary with the palace.

Another day, another drama between Prince Harry and the royal family. And this time the palace is allegedly up in arms because Prince Harry flew to Canada without telling them.

Some quick context? Prince William kicked off the month of November with a royal tour of Brazil, which happened at the same time as Prince Harry's trip to Canada. And Harry was pretty much immediately accused of trying to upstage his older brother—which his team denied.

In a statement to the Daily Mail, Harry's spokesperson said he is "not afforded the same level of security and protection as other working members of the Royal Family," which means "that the period of time in which we can release details of events is much more truncated than it is for His Majesty the King or the Prince of Wales."

They added, "The events were planned nearly a year ago. The date of the main event, the dinner, is set by the charity, not Prince Harry. The period of Remembrancetide traditionally extends from the 1-11 November and has done since 1918, over 100 years. He can't choose to move those dates."

Cut to now, and the palace is denying they had any advanced notice of Harry's trip—despite Harry allegedly agreeing to share details of his diary with them.

Per People, "Harry's trip to Canada caught palace aides by surprise, despite the Duke of Sussex's team saying it had informed them." Meanwhile, The Times reports that Harry's team claimed they'd sent details of the trip, but "no one at the Palace received the memo, leading to questions as to whether it was ever sent."

They also spoke to a source who said it was "a bit rum" for Harry's team to say the Palace was given a head's up, and that when Team Sussex was asked who they told and when, "there came no reply."

Mmmkay!
