Prince William and Kate Middleton’s royal wedding was watched by millions of people on April 29, 2011, and naturally lip-readers were working overtime. Which brings us to Hello Magazine, who just dusted off a video of William seeing Kate for the very first time as she walked up to the altar at Westminster Abbey.

According to the outlet, William glanced at Kate and said, “You look lovely,” and then added, “You look beautiful” for good measure as she smiled back at him. Here’s their full wedding video if you want to avoid work/school/your responsibilities for an hour or two.

Anyway, these two were also caught chatting in their carriage post-vows, when—according to lip-readers—William told his new wife, “You look happy,” and she said back, “Yes!” before asking, “Are you happy?”

And while we’re here dusting off old videos, go ahead and watch William chat about how he and Kate first started dating in their post-engagement interview below! Cute spoiler: “When I first met Kate, I knew there was something very special about her,” he said. “I knew there was possibly something that I wanted to explore there. We ended up being friends for a while and that just sort of was a good foundation. Because I do generally believe now that being friends with one another is a massive advantage. And it just went from there.”

Meanwhile, Kate added, “I actually think I went bright red when I met you and sort of scuttled off, feeling very shy. But we did become very close friends from quite early.”
