• A royal expert says Prince William is "making power moves" and essentially functioning as king.
  • They claim King Charles has "all but handed over the crown."
  • William has reportedly been taking the lead on dealing with his disgraced uncle Prince Andrew.

While Prince William won't become King of England until King Charles passes away, there's no doubt that his influence on the monarchy is growing by the day—especially when it comes to the handling of his disgraced uncle Prince Andrew.

According to Daily Mail royal expert Maureen Callahan, William has been "making power moves" and is "already leading the Royal Family, intent on preserving the realm." She adds that "Charles, it seems, has all but handed over the crown. He would prefer, as is his constitution, not to be embroiled in these messes, even as they pose existential threats to the future of the monarchy. William clearly has no such squeamishness."

Maureen also notes, "It's the House of Wales now, and not a moment too soon."

This comes amid Rob Shuter's #ShuterScoop reporting that Prince William has ensured that Prince Andrew's "personal banner" and coat of arms have been fully removed from St. George’s Chapel (a move reserved for "traitors and exiles"), which a royal source says is "the final nail in the coffin."

"This wasn’t just paperwork—it was symbolic," one royal insider says. "Prince William wanted to send a message: the monarchy is moving forward, and Andrew isn’t part of it." Meanwhile, Shuter notes that Windsor was Andrew's "sanctuary" and "now even the walls won’t have him. It’s as close to royal exile as you can get without a passport stamp."
