The 2022 midterms are the first majorly important cluster of elections since President Joe Biden won the White House back in November 2020. Although it was an epic win for Democrats, the party now faces strong headwinds in its quest to keep control of both chambers of Congress amid the ongoing pandemic and mixed economic indicators this season.
Across the states, people will be voting for these seats in addition to a bevy of governors and secretaries of state—two roles that will undoubtedly hold massive power, especially in future elections (like, say, the 2024 presidential election). Before we shift focus to the larger general election on November 8, it’s integral that these couple of months of primaries are a focal point for every single person able to vote.
