In a powerful new video for the Center for Reproductive Rights' "Draw the Line" campaign, which pushes back on attacks against reproductive rights, actress Jemima Kirke tells the story of terminating a pregnancy in college and how it helped to set her up for her own future as a woman and a mother.
She shared the story, she said, to fight the stigma that surrounds abortion in the United States and to help create a world wherein her two daughters won't be fighting for their own basic rights. "Reproductive issues should be something that women should be able to talk about freely," Kirke says.
