It’s been a minute since Sabrina Carpenter and Pedro Pascal joined in on Marcello Hernandez’s Domingo bit on the SNL 50 special, but that doesn’t mean The Last of Us actor is done showing love to the “Espresso” singer. The day after her show-stopping performance of “Tears” at the 2025 VMAs, Pedro gave Sabrina a sweet shoutout on his Instagram Stories. Alongside a photo of her posing in the rain with drag performers and trans women, he wrote, “Again... 👑.”

In case you somehow missed the “Manchild” hitmaker’s huge night at the awards show, her performance was a PSA to protect the dolls as she was joined on stage by queer icons like Denali, Willam, Symone, Laganja Estranja, Lexi Love, Dashaun Wesley, and Honey Balenciaga.

Later that night, she also gave the LGBTQ+ community a shoutout when she won Best Album for Short n’ Sweet.

“To my queens: This world, as we all know, can be so full of criticism and discrimination and negativity. So to get to be part of something so… more often than not, that can bring you light, make you smile, make you dance, and make you feel like the world is yours… I’m so grateful. So grateful to do that,” she said during her speech.

Pedro has also openly been vocal about his allyship over the years, as he has a trans sibling of his own, Lux Pascal.

In March, he shared a post in support of the trans community, writing, “I can’t think of anything more vile and small and pathetic than terrorizing the smallest, most vulnerable community of people who want nothing from you, except the right to exist.”

The following month, he pulled up to the UK premiere of Thunderbolts* in Conner Ives’ “Protect the Dolls” T-shirt. The designer donates all proceeds from the shirt’s sales to Trans Lifeline, a “trans-led US-based charity that delivers life-saving services to those who need them most.”
