Let’s be honest: There’s not much that Oprah and I have in common (due to her storied, multi-decade broadcast career and general fame) but there is one singular thing that we are extremely aligned on: our love for Lola Blankets. I’ve written multiple stories where I waxed poetic about the brand, so when I saw that she put the Lola blanket on her 2025 Oprah’s Favorite Things List, I knew that Oprah was, in fact, my home decor twin flame.
“When they unwrap this, they’ll melt. Plush faux fur that hushes the world the second it’s draped over them—a weighted blanket that feels and looks luxurious and hugs you to sleep,” says Oprah. I mean, I couldn’t have said it better myself. I own a couple of Lola blankets, and my friends and roommates will fight over who gets to snuggle under each one during movie nights.
If you aren't familiar, the brand has been around since 2021 and has become famous for their double-sided, faux fur blankets that feel as silky-soft as a baby animal (minus the whole animal part). Sure, they’re a little pricey, but I use mine every single day when I collapse onto the couch after work, so the cost-per-use isn't that bad! There's also the non-weighted version, which I personally prefer.
And if that wasn’t enough to convince you, several other celebrities have been spotted with Lola blankets in the background of their social media posts. Tate McRae took a mirror selfie with one, and Selena Gomez even wrote what appeared to be her wedding vows sitting on top of her Lola blanket.
Not saying that the blanket played a crucial role in said vows, all I’m saying is that mine really conjures up major feelings of extreme love and devotion… snag one to feel it for yourself, and thank me later!
