After weeks of dating in the pods and the weddings, the Love Is Blind: UK season 2 came to an end, with the reunion airing on Sunday, August 31st.
But unfortunately, married life wasn't smooth sailing for some of the couples, as Emma and Matt Willis caught up with the cast almost a year on from filming.
While Kal and Sarover met in the pods and seemed to have an instant connection, despite their cultural differences, married life introduced new challenges for the couple.
Read on for everything you need to know about Kal and Sarover, including whether they're still together.
What happened with Kal and Sarover on Love Is Blind: UK?
Medical company owner Sarover, 29, and gym owner Kal, 32, connected instantly in the pods.
They quickly addressed the elephant in the room: Kal is mixed race—half English and half Pakistani—while Sarover is Indian. They spoke openly about how such a union might be frowned upon in their respective cultures, but also wondered whether their relationship could challenge those long-held views.
Despite the potential cultural hurdles, they agreed to keep exploring their connection, which only deepened over time. Eventually, Kal popped the question. When they met in person, he wore traditional Pakistani attire and endearingly called her “princess” before getting down on one knee and presenting her with a ring.
During the couples' retreat, Kal admitted that Sarover wasn’t his usual type, revealing that he typically dated blonde, blue-eyed white women. This worried Sarover, as she wondered how he’d react to seeing Bardha and Ashleigh in person, who both fit that description. Nevertheless, they moved past it and continued building their connection.
Sarover then met Kal's grandmother and mother, and they were so pleased to see he'd found someone, although his mum revealed that she'd never heard him speak about marriage. His brother then admitted to the camera that he didn't see if working because Kal had never had a longterm relationship, and he could bet his life on it—ouch!
Despite all this, the couple made it to their wedding day and things looked positive—that is, until a teaser of Kal tearing up his wedding vows was shown. It turns out that Kal just wanted to share what he had in his head rather than something pre-written. He told Sarover that she was everything he'd wanted in a woman and they both said "I do."
Their wedding was an absolute dream, with nods to both their cultures—Kal entered the venue alongside a Pakistani band, while Sarover changed into her traditional Indian clothing.
Are Love Is Blind: UK’s Kal and Sarover still together?
No, they are no longer together.
Despite getting married on the show, Sarover and Kal revealed they were no longer together at the reunion.
The couple were the first to speak with the show's hosts, Emma and Matt Willis, and after a video of their first few months together were shown, they were asked how married life was, to which Sarover responded, "What marriage?"
Sarover then revealed how Kal called things off on the 2nd of January and wouldn't communicate with her. He insisted that he tried to contact her, but she ignored him. Viewers then heard from Sarover's mother in the audience, who said that Kal was never "genuine" and that Sarover would be okay.
Kal's brother Junaid was also in the audience and said that Kal just isn't suited to a longterm relationship and he thinks Kal saw what his older brothers had and wanted the same, but he's just not cut out for marriage.
Speaking exclusively to Cosmopolitan UK, Sarover opened up about the reason for their split, saying, "Kal didn't see me as an equal. I didn't feel like I had a voice in that relationship, I didn't feel like I had a say and there was no compromise."
She continued: "At one point it got to the 2nd of January, and he ended it without any conversation. It was, 'This is the decision. This is the best for us,' and I was blindsided. I just got married. It had literally been three months and I didn't know what happened. I didn't know what went wrong and even when I tried to ask him later, it's been horrible."
