In honor of the show’s 25th anniversary, we decided to do some astrological matchmaking with the Stars Hollow crew.

I firmly believe that if I grew up in the whimsical streets of Stars Hollow, I’d be exponentially happier. Every year, when I kickstart my annual Gilmore Girls rewatch in late September, I find myself daydreaming about what life would be like if I could stop by Luke’s Diner for breakfast every morning, or swing by Miss Patty’s dance studio to get the local tea from her and Babette. Because while Star Hollow is fictional, that hasn’t stopped me or the millions of other Gilmore Girls devotees worldwide from falling in love with the show’s universe and its eccentric cast of characters since it premiered 25 years ago.

You read that correctly, this month marks GG’s silver jubilee, and given that fact, what better time is there to do a bit of self-insertion and finally figure out what role you'd play if you were a part of the show's canon? For that, we turn to astrology. Given how many large characters make up this iconic show's cast, we went ahead and determined which person best represents every zodiac sign. Because while you could never technically live in Stars Hollow, at least you could live vicariously through a character who embodies your sign's energy. Find out exactly who that is ahead.

Aries: Kirk Gleason

Not only does this man keep a job, but he keeps everyone around him entertained. Kirk’s personality cannot be contained, and while he’s definitely eccentric, he always stays true to himself. Aries people don’t filter themselves to fit in or keep the peace.

Taurus: Emily Gilmore

Although they’re particular, stubborn, and controlling, this earth sign is loyal to a fault. They’ve also got excellent taste and homemaking skills. Plus, they’re great at making things feel luxe and refined, whether it’s an afternoon tea event with the DAR or a Friday night dinner.

Gemini: Logan Huntzberger

Like a true Gemini, Logan knows how to have a good time. He’s charming, witty, and super flirtatious, which are all classic air sign characteristics. A Gemini can talk you into doing crazy things, and Logan’s no different.

Cancer: Dean Forester

Whether you love him or hate him, you can’t deny that Rory’s first love is family-oriented, down-to-earth, and sensitive (sometimes too much so). He definitely clings to the past, and Cancers are nothing if not nostalgic.

Leo: Sookie St. James

Leos are larger than life and committed to their crafts, which is why Sookie St. James runs every kitchen she enters like the Navy. That’s because this sign is a natural-born leader who brings the sunshine into every room.

Virgo: Richard Gilmore

Like most Virgos, he’s hardworking and buttoned-up, but throughout the series, it’s clear that Richard’s also got this sign’s dry sense of humor. He may not always let loose, but when he does, he steals the scene.

Libra: Rory Gilmore

Warner Bros.

In classic Libra nature, Rory is a friend to all in Stars Hollow (and can even be a bit of a people pleaser). But as sweet and conflict-avoidant as this sign is, their love lives tend to get a bit dramatic. This Venus-ruled sign is romantic, flirtatious, and prone to being in love triangles. Rory is no exception.

Scorpio: Paris Geller

There is no character more intense, focused, and controversial than Ms. Geller, which is why she is this cast’s resident Scorpio. Her delivery might be a bit harsh at times, but her heart is usually in the right place. And though often misunderstood, she’s loyal to the people who see and get the real her (like her nanny, Rory, and Doyle).

Sagittarius: Lorelai Gilmore

Whether she’s at a family dinner, a Chilton parent-teacher conference, or a town hall meeting, Lorelai is always going to say the quiet part out loud. She’s a determined, bold self-starter who can literally never stop talking, which makes her a great representative for this fire sign.

Capricorn: Luke Danes

Warner Bros.

No matter what drama surrounds Luke (a secret daughter, a rebellious nephew, etc.), he’s going to make sure his business is running smoothly. Like most Caps, he puts up a hard front, but at his core, he’s a supportive and reliable softie.

Aquarius: Lane Kim

This sign will always challenge the establishment, even if the establishment happens to be their strict, traditional family. Lane is artistic, loyal, and crafty—traits you’ll find in most Aquas.

Pisces: Jess Mariano

This is an intense water sign if we’ve ever seen one! Jess is an outsider. Pisces people tend to live in the clouds, and they’re dreamers who feel like their big ideas won’t be properly understood by everyone around them. But no matter how troubled they may seem, these folks are deep feelers with a high EQ.
