As much as I’d like to be living somewhere grand and palatial, I *actually* dwell in a darling one-bedroom apartment that simply does not have enough closet storage...or, ya know, space in general for that matter. I know I’m not alone in this struggle—living quarters for many of us can be pretty tight. And now that we’re in a hybrid working world (if your office hasn’t killed all that already), it can feel especially crowded in your cute lil home when it also has to function as an office.
Personally, I knew it was time to investigate desks for my small space when my body was rebelling against my WFH setup, aka hunching over my laptop like a gremlin at my kitchen counter. I know, I know, but I just really didn’t want a desk to take up too much of my bedroom or living room and be a haunting reminder of looming deadlines and endless to-dos. So what’s a girl to do?! Well, I ended up installing a murphy desk that I pack away at the end of each workday (because boundaries).
