Your Weekly Tarot Reading for the Week of August 4

Mars moving into Venus-y Libra and a Full Moon in truthful, humanitarian Aquarius focus our attention on balance, harmony, equality, and give-and-take dynamics in our closest relationships. The Four of Wands suggests there’s room for improvement, and not in a miserable, tense-discussion kinda way, rather by action and simply doing different things in a different way. Action drives results and speaks louder than words, right? And we will all say anything to diffuse a tense dialogue. So, simply be different this week. Suggest new things to do, don’t follow the usual pathways, tweak the habits, adjust the mood. Lead by example and your relationships will flourish.

Less is more, Aries. Remember this when you’re tempted to take on another goal, activity, action, or demand. You have a big engine and you can do more than most, but you have your limitations too. The Ten of Wands hints you’ve been sailing close to them recently and the fatigue is accumulating. So, take a load off, say "no," streamline the schedule, and create big, gaping stretches of time where you can just freestyle, rest, or meditate. Make this week a rejuvenating vibe and come back fighting fit.

The King of Pentacles is like your BFF because he’s stoic, rich, ambitious, capable, and resolute in everything he does (sound familiar?). He does rule over the Earth element so you can claim him as a mascot if you like. Be like him this week. It's time to rise, invest, pitch the big idea, make your own enterprise come to life, think wealth rather than money, think investment rather than spending. You are moving into a new realm of wealth-creation. Do so consciously and enthusiastically. This is your era.

Temperance is a great card for Gemini because it’s all about balance, harmony, and moderation, which is a daily grind for dual-matured Mercury folk! It’s possible you have been doing too much or have gone to the extreme outliers in some way, and it’s gotten overwhelming. It doesn’t suit you either because you’re a kaleidoscope versus a telescope. You can see it ALL. Tunnel vision viewpoints and echo chambers are stifling and toxic to your spirit. Come back to the middle ground and breathe easier. Rediscover your safe space, your balance and equilibrium.

Oh gosh, the Three of Swords. The card of betrayal and wounding. Someone has done something to you and I almost feel sorry for them because evoking a Cancer’s anger and pain is not a good idea. Whatever has hurt you recently needs time to heal. Process your feelings, release them safely, talk about them. Don’t isolate yourself or retreat unto your shell with a dark revenge fantasy (tempting, I know…). The way through this pain is to surgically remove the source of it. Once bitten, twice shy. Protect yourself first and foremost. Cut ties with what hurt you. And then take your time to get back to your vibrant self, the sparkle will return.

Step back this week. Get a different and broader perspective on your everyday life and what you’re doing, where you’re going, with whom. Is everything there what you want to be there? Is anything missing? Review matters objectively. Imagine a future you coming back and looking at this. Would your daily actions match what you say your priorities or goals are? If not, then make adjustments. Change the schedule. Flip the to-do list. Take control. How you spend your time directly affects the future you build.

Now listen, Virgo, I know you think that you always do the right thing and know what’s best, and 99% of the time that’s probably true. But maybe not this week. You have perhaps talked yourself into adopting a position that, truthfully, suits your needs and desires more than it is actually fair and equitable. Recognize this. Process how you’ve gotten to this point, and then take a step to correct the balance. In the long run, this is absolutely the right thing to do all round. Don't get stuck in a spot that will get harder to defend real soon.

The Wheel of Fortune is a magical card predicting great change and transformation ahead! Chaos is likely and I know you don’t like that state of affairs, but go with the flow. Don’t try and organize it all too quickly, let the chaos play out and do the heavy lifting for you, because chaos creates opportunity. It stirs up the status quo and throws the normal conventions up in the air, allowing you to see new gaps and openings that you could move into. Be strategic, patient, and a little bit ruthless. You can really capitalize on what happens this week but you must ride the waves, even when they feel overwhelming.

Adventure ahead! It’s summer, after all, and a time of fun, playfulness, exploration, and discovery. Get out there and enjoy yourself. Socialize, travel, visit, reunite, play, create, invent, show up and turn it up! The King of Wands puts purpose into everything he does, he is intentional and courageous. Think about the things you’d love to have done, seen, experienced, tried. How many of them can you set in motion this week? Unseen forces will sweep in to help your quest be successful! This is a time to fulfill your 'bucket list' type ambitions.

You gotta do what you gotta do, and that’s usually dictated by what you WANT to do. As long as you’re willing to own the consequences or pay the price of those choices, then you’re pretty much free to do whatever you wish. The Devil is a sophisticated energy. A ‘do what thou wilt’ message, alongside its double edge of willingness to take accountability for what you put out into the world. We’re here to experience everything, that’s not always sweetness, light, and wholesomeness. But just think it through, please, because the price of this might not be one you’re really ready or willing to pay (think: Coldplay concert moment…).

It’s all happening and it’s all coming your way, Cap. This week is going to feel incredibly busy, fulfilling, opportunistic, and rewarding. The key to the door of success is saying YES to everything, even if you wonder how you can fit it all in (you can sort that out later with some of your cunning spreadsheeted calendar genius). Prioritize anything related to work, health, money, or home opportunity. Get new people on board and on side. Create new options and openings for your future ideas. Land alliances. Build bridges to places and roles you wish to occupy. This is where and how you design your future.

Choices need to be made- that’s the bottom line this week. If you procrastinate and turn away from the crossroads right in front of you then you will simply get stuck at this junction. And that’s not winning energy. So, take a deep breath, research your options, talk about them with friends, sleep on your favored choice, and if you get a good night’s rest then activate that choice the very next day. Nothing is ever final, you can always make new choices. Just don’t linger in this zone any longer. Move ahead one way or another.
