Your Tarot Reading for the Week of June 9

You don't need to know the difference between a three-card and a Celtic cross spread, to get the most out of a tarot card reading. All you need: your Sun sign! Here's what I do: Shuffle my tarot deck and pull out the cards in order from Aries to Pisces plus one general card for everyone so that you can get specific advice around your personality. Let’s go!

Two opposing cosmic forces in play this week: Jupiter moving into Cancer (which wants you to keep those home fires burning) and a Full Moon in Sagittarius (which urges you to get out and explore the world). The Fool tarot card joins the party to really up the ante and promise that we can do it all! New beginnings. New actions. New attitudes. Play home and away and bring a new perspective to your usual routines or plans. Can they be revamped? Maybe you’re ready for a new office space, a garden refresh, or a bedroom glow-up. Maybe it’s time to book a trip for summer or fall, consider how well you know your local area, or make an effort to visit folk who live elsewhere. This is going to be a busy and game changing week! Unseen forces are swirling around you Aries, nudging you onto new pathways with surprising outcomes and options. It’s an exciting week, full of transformation and new ideas. I often go to my Taurean friends and family for validation, for a sense check on events and who is right or wrong. Taureans are natural deliberators and deciders. Justice enters your realm this week and brings with it a demand for such validation and back up. People around you will want you to take a side and to justify an action or opinion.
Take your time. This is where reputation is made… and lost. But do pick a side. Your judgment is important and makes a difference. When deciding your viewpoint, remember that things are rarely one-sided. So imagine you are weighting a scale, stacking the evidence on both sides, and feel, instinctively, which side has the stronger, heavier wealth of evidence backing their position.

Sometimes it’s good to go with the flow and respond to things as they unfold, and sometimes it’s better to be pro-active, on the front foot, and in control of how and when things unfold. Like now. The Knight of Swords pulls no punches and asserts his needs and authority over every domain he rides through. This Knight knows what he wants and goes out to make it happen. This is who you are this week. Swords reflects your Air element, after all, and all Geminis have a cut-throat edge to their nature. Use it now. Be a force. Look out for fellow Air sign allies (Libra and Aquarius) who share a common goal. Create partnerships that make logical sense even if you're coming from different directions.

This card is all about falling in love, building true and lasting alliances, forging a partnership or collaboration, and strengthening a friendship or family bond. Basically, it's about you getting up close and intimate with the folk that matter most to you. Relationships make your world go around. They are your priority, so invest in the important ones this week and every ounce of your effort will be met and returned. Here comes The Sun… and it’s all right! Of course it is, this is the tarot’s stellar success card, an omen of joy and prosperity to come! This week might feel like a stepping stone, a transitional or liminal phase. You are moving from one chapter to the next, and the next is the BEST yet. Expect love, romance, friendship, achievement, reward, and long term success. It’s all coming your way, you’ve worked hard and deserve to reap these bonuses. Be confident. Make power moves. Ask, pitch, propose, apply, challenge, suggest. It's all yours for the taking. Look out for inspiring Leo folk who suggest something wonderful, look out for trips or outings to sunny places. Put yourself in and amongst optimistic energies and influences.

Hard work beats talent (when talent doesn’t work hard, and it often doesn’t). So put the work in and give yourself the best chance of success. Don’t be afraid of failure or misfiring.
