For our first iteration, we asked astrologer Jake Register—aka @jakesastrology, who we’ve trusted with love horoscopes for years—to take a peek at what the stars are saying about five of the hottest couples of the moment: Louis Partridge and Olivia Rodrigo, Emma Fuente and Izzy Perez, Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco, The Kid Laroi and Tate McRae, and Justice Smith and Nicholas L. Ashe.

Louis Partridge and Olivia Rodrigo
GEMINI + PISCES
Olivia’s and Louis’s birth charts are as different as the sides of the road they drive on. Yet their unique signs fit together in all the right ways: Her sensitive Pisces Sun shares an emotional water element with his moody Cancer Moon, while his mischievous Gemini Sun helps her lively Libra Moon come out to play. Meaning, they bring out a deeper, more personal side of each other’s personalities that the public doesn’t get to see.
“Both also have Venus, the planet of love and pleasure, in earth signs—and earthy Venus people create relationships that last,” adds astrologer Jake Register, who took a close look at all of these couples’ charts.
Yet as always—because the universe is gonna universe—not everything points to perfect harmony. Each of their birth charts indicates a lot of ambition and the tendency to put work goals first, says Register. And the way Uranus is connecting with both of their charts promises a lot of chaos and upheaval in 2025. Don’t be alarmed if career demands start to make things a little challenging for Olivia and Louis’s love story.
Emma Fuente and Izzy Perez
CANCER + CAPRICORN
The couple behind the viral account @TurtleWithHat have opposite Sun signs, a pairing that often indicates friends who truly feel like family—which may explain their trajectory from high school friends to college sweethearts and beyond. Plus, both of their Sun signs often need to be with someone who really understands them. “A Cancer-Capricorn relationship is one of my favorites. They understand the value of trust and they never want to break it,” says Register.
Looking ahead, this year, both Uranus and Pluto make potentially life-changing squares with Izzy’s chart and expansive Jupiter lights up Emma’s chart, indicating that both may be feeling ready to branch out and explore new career directions.
Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco
CANCER + PISCES
According to the universe—and in case you couldn’t guess from their PDA alone—the pair has an unforgettable sex life. Selena’s Aries Moon and Benny’s Scorpio Moon share a sexy ruling planet, Mars. Plus, Selena’s Mars (which rules libido) and Benny’s Venus (which rules pleasure) are both in sensual Taurus. “This makes their connection deeply emotional, intimate, and intense, for better or for worse,” explains Register. “So if they’re unable to compromise with any future difficulties, their breakup will be explosive.”
And speaking of...2025’s astrology is a make-it-or-break-it moment for this recently engaged duo, mostly due to what’s happening in the Rare Beauty founder’s chart. “Saturn, which rules structure and permanence, is approaching Selena’s impulsive Aries Moon,” says Register. “If she determines that this relationship isn’t actually meant to be, she’ll go ahead and decide to cut things off.”
The Kid Laroi and Tate McRae
LEO + CANCER
When it comes to this pair, the cosmos is always standing by with a fire extinguisher. “Things are hot between these two—a fiery (Laroi) chart plus a watery (Tate) chart equals a super-steamy relationship,” says Register. “But if they can’t work together, someone will end up getting burned.”
There’s more: An intense late-2025 Saturn transit (these tend to come with major challenges, the kind that teach important life lessons) could spell drama for Tate. “Only the strongest, sturdiest people will stick by her, so let’s hope Laroi has what it takes,” says Register. Laroi himself is facing an easier year. Jupiter and Venus are connecting with his chart and giving him luck, cash, and creativity.
Justice Smith and Nicholas L. Ashe
LEO + TAURUS
Their Sun signs tend to be at odds (Leos are extroverts; Tauruses are introverts), but this pair is saved by the stellar compatibility of the rest of their charts. Specifically, their Mercury signs, Moon signs, and Venus signs all share elements, meaning they’re in tune with each other emotionally, romantically, and in their communication styles—exactly what’s needed for a long-lasting relationship to really thrive.
Both Justice and Nicholas are also currently going through their Saturn Returns, an astrological coming-of-age that’ll see them reach cosmic adulthood and find their true life purposes. Register’s take: “If they can get through this transformative time without splitting, they’re going to be together forever.”
