You don't need to know the difference between a three-card and a Celtic cross spread, to get the most out of a tarot card reading. All you need: your Sun sign! Here's what I do: Shuffle my tarot deck and pull out the cards in order from Aries to Pisces plus one general card for everyone so that you can get specific advice around your personality. Let’s go!

A GENERAL CARD FOR EVERYONE: SIX OF SWORDS

Margie Rischiotto+Rider-Waite

Jupiter Retrograde begins in Gemini this week, which gives us a moment to look inwards and examine our values, philosophies, and ideas about life. The Six of Swords indicates that this will be a phase of shedding old beliefs and opinions. I used to work in research and, in that field, any report over three years old was considered out of date. At the current rate of world events, that shelf life feels much shorter. We are all asked to take on new information daily and absorb seismic shifts in the world order. This means our mental processes need to be swifter and able to flex to new data. Stay nimble. Kill your old ideas. Be receptive to new ones.

ARIES: THE MOON

It’s what is not being said that is important this week, so tune into the liminal spaces in conversations. I'm talking about the pauses, the awkward silences, the obvious questions that are left unasked. The Moon is all about mystery, secrets, and illusion. This card is asking you to check in with your instincts and intuition about a situation, rather than trusting what you are told or shown. This requires you to slow down, say less, watch more closely, and be still. This incoming intel is important!

TAURUS: SIX OF CUPS

You're feeling wildly nostalgic for your childhood and past. You might find yourself thinking about the places you used to live, old friends, and maybe a hobby or pastime that used to entrance you. Adulthood is often a long, winding road through many avenues and mazes until we find ourselves back at our childhood’s door. The answers lie within. The person you truly are now was always there, waiting for you to return. Look back and reminisce.

GEMINI: KING OF WANDS

Geminis exude a cut-throat, ambitious energy that draws collaborators, supporters, fans, and admirers. They just get sh*t done well, on time, with flair, and they don’t hurt others in the process (unless provoked, that is). The King of Wands is a call to action for all Geminis to make plans for 2025 now. Think bigger and bolder than this year. Think about showing people your full potential. This is the era of the Gemini!

CANCER: TWO OF SWORDS

Decisions, decisions… so much to think about and so little time to ruminate in the full and 4D way you like, Cancer. The Two of Swords has "hurry up" energy, but not for the sake of it—it's because procrastination will lead you further away from action. It won’t improve the quality of the decisions you make because you already know, deep down, what the right thing to do is. Your instincts are on point. Follow your intuition and make your next steps this week.

LEO: THE WHEEL OF FORTUNE

Be lucky this week, Leo. Roll the dice, especially in areas where the stakes are high (and so are the rewards). Luck is visiting with you, as shown by the Wheel of Fortune. This week, you have the good fortune you need to make a few bold leaps and—win. Make sure to be confident, positive, and pro-active. Fake these attributes if you’re not genuinely feeling this way. Play the game. Opportunity will rise to meet you.

VIRGO: KNIGHT OF PENTACLES

This Knight represents the conscientious, dedicated, careful, and hard-working nature of all earth signs, including you, Virgo. This is a week filled with hard work and challenges, but don’t shy away because the rewards will be worth it. Whatever you do will prove to be very worthwhile and you will look back with satisfaction and pride. This is a prize worth pursuing.

LIBRA: EIGHT OF SWORDS

Notice yourself noticing things you don’t like in people, situations, and places. Write those things down. The Eight of Swords is all about projection, reminding us that we tend to notice and dislike things in others that actually reside within ourselves too. We shun our shadow self, but our sub conscious observes signs of it outside ourselves. So, write that list. At the end of the week, sit with it and recognize the mirror images of it within yourself. Then, consider how you change or accept these traits.

SCORPIO: THE HIEROPHANT

Your independence and self-reliance is legendary. You don’t bow to anyone else’s demands or opinions; you walk your own path solo and proud. This often gets you into hot water, arguments, and sometimes even leadership positions. This week, it will probably get you into all of the above. Stand firm, no matter what. Even if you’re shot down initially, others will come around to your way of thinking as events unfold and truths emerge. And eventually you can say, “I told you so” (though maybe only in your head).

SAGITTARIUS: TEN OF PENTACLES

Eyes on the prize, Sagittarius. Keep your mind and actions on the long game. Don’t sacrifice your hard-fought ambitions for a short-term gain. If in doubt, think about the coming one, five, or even ten years. Is what you’re about to do likely to jeopardize the outcome? If so, then don’t do it. The Ten of Pentacles is a sign that you’re already on track, so don’t deviate from your path or let temptation distract you.

CAPRICORN: SEVEN OF PENTACLES

A major part of progress that no one really talks about is the deliberate "murder" of limiting ideas, opinions, situations, connections, and relationships. You can’t move forwards carrying too heavy a burden. You need momentum and that requires you to let any extra baggage go. The Seven of Pentacles is a sign that you’re slowly evolving and adapting to a new version of yourself. Your main task this week is to release any outdated or old stuff that has been holding you back. Don’t be sentimental, be ruthless. Let go.

AQUARIUS: FIVE OF SWORDS

Arguments and disagreements can serve useful purposes sometimes (if you can get past the noise and hurt feelings, which you can). Think of them as symptoms of an illness, and you need to track down the root cause in order to cure it. That is your homework this week, Aquarius. Push through to the heart of a conflict and talk to the others at about it. Fix the underlying problem together and feel a true sense of understanding and healing. This argument might actually be the making of your relationship.

PISCES: THE DEVIL

the devil tarot card
Margie Rischiotto+Rider-Wait

Consider the habits and patterns in your life that hurt or limit you and your potential. We all sabotage ourselves, often in the pursuit of ease, relaxation, happiness, or excitement. The Devil suggests that you are being blessed with the necessary insight, inspiration, and motivation to understand one of these deep-rooted habits and liberate yourself from its clutches. Seize the moment and change the story.
