My cousin and I have birthdays two days apart, and we've always talked about celebrating together with a big joint vacation. Thanks to Park Hyatt St. Kitts, our dream finally came true last October. Over the course of four days and three nights, we had the most luxe, Instagrammable girls' trip/birthday getaway ever (yes, we have the photos to prove it), complete with a lavish suite, spa days, fine dining, awesome adventures (don't ask about my failed zip-lining experience), and so much more.
For those who don't know, St. Kitts is a gorge island in the West Indies that borders the Caribbean Sea (on the west) and the Atlantic Ocean (on the east). It's a magical place with colorful reefs, volcanic sand beaches, and mountains that make you feel small in the best way possible. There's tons to do and see, and natural beauty abounds. The Park Hyatt sits in the middle of it all, on a beach overlooking Banana Bay.
Curious about what a stay at this stunning resort might look like? Hi, I'm officially your digital guide. Follow along for a full review, and, of course, some iconic pictures of the whole b-day extravaganza. Pretty sure you'll be inspired for your special day, too!

THE FIRST IMPRESSIONS
The resort is only a twenty-minute drive from the Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport, and our time in the car flew by as I people-watched and took in the views. I still regret not stopping for some plantains from one of the roadside stands, so you should definitely plan to!
Upon entering the resort, the most beautiful outdoor lobby came into my view, complete with ponds full of Nemo-like fish swimming around. Beyond that, we could see lush fruit trees, swaying palms, and piercing blue waters. My cousin and I immediately perked up when we were greeted with cold towels ('twas a bit humid that day) and drinks that made our tastebuds sing. We hopped on a golf cart that took us to our room, where the real adventure began!
THE ROOMS
My cousin and I stayed in an ocean-view room for the first couple of nights we were there, and every single time we fell asleep and woke up, we were reminded that nothing beats the sound of waves hitting the shore. The room itself felt super homey, with island vibes for days. Our fave features? The deep soaking tub in the bathroom, and private terrace with beautiful views of Banana Bay and the Straits of Nevis.
On our final day, we leveled up and moved into a three-bedroom presidential villa with views so breathtaking, I could cry just thinking about them. The two-story, 5,280-square-foot haven was the type of dream home you see in music videos. There was a game room, a wellness area, and a private infinity pool, where we spent most of our time. We had a floating breakfast out there too, and it was out of this world.
THE AMENITIES
While you can surely stay entertained at the pool alone, there are plenty of on-property activities that you can sign up for to keep things interesting, like private cooking classes, paint and sips, stargazing, Crossfit, and even a Topgolf Swing Suite! The on-site spa, Sugar Mill Spa & Sanctuary, is also worth the visit—it's where I got one of the best massages of my life.
There are many activities you can book off-site, as well, with the help of the concierge. I tried batik-making at Caribelle Batik (a famous studio where you can create bright and colorful designs out of wax), and ziplining in the rainforest, although we had to stop because it was storming and we were in an open Jeep. Ziplining in St. Kitts is highly recommended...just make sure you save it for a sunny day!
THE FOOD AND BEV
The resort has three signature restaurants that serve up both local and international fare. Head to Fisherman's Village for seafood and eclectic island-inspired cuisine, The Great House for the most exquisite lobster pasta, and Stone Bar for food served straight from the hearth. There's a market and two beach bars on the resort, too!
You can also get room service via the resort app, which is especially great in the morning (I always prioritize sleep!). That's why the floating breakfast that I mentioned before—which includes pancakes, eggs benedict, chia seed pudding, fresh fruit, smoothies, and more— was one of my favorite things to eat at the resort.
THE BOTTOM LINE
All in all, the Park Hyatt St. Kitts was the perfect mix of luxury (you deserve the best, people!), adventure (yay to ziplining for the first time), culture (still not over our batik crafting), and serenity (I mean...the views!). If you need a Caribbean getaway, this is your spot, let me tell ya. And if you're looking for a special place to visit for your special day, you've officially found it. Promise it'll be the best gift ever.
