Taylor Swift’s soon-to-be sister-in-law, Kylie Kelce, may be keeping quiet when it comes to the Grammy winner’s engagement to Travis Kelce, but that doesn’t mean she isn’t happy for the couple.
Kylie got candid about why she’s avoided discussion surrounding Taylor and Travis’ engagement on the most recent episode of her podcast, Not Gonna Lie.
“I have made a very conscious effort to not discuss Taylor and Travis on this podcast because news outlets, tabloids, and AI, quite frankly, like to post,” she said, explaining that outlets tend to pull “quotes” from “whatever I say in reference to them.” (Point taken, Princess Kyana.)
She continued, “I don’t need to come out here and make statements when I already talked to them. You see what I’m saying? I don’t need you to clickbait my shit. I don’t need you to take my comments and try and dissect it.”
“I think it goes without being said I am so incredibly happy for them,” Kylie added. “We are so excited that they are taking this next step. The girls are so excited to get another aunt. I am so truly happy for them, and I feel so grateful that we get to welcome Taylor into our family in a more official capacity.”
She went on to say that her relationship with Travis and her soon-to-be sister-in-law is “private,” and something that “no one else is involved in.”
On September 5, Kylie opened up about her family’s excitement surrounding the milestone moment for Taylor and Travis on Good Morning America. Specifically, how she and Jason Kelce’s young daughters, Wyatt, Elliotte, Bennett, and Finn, are looking forward to welcoming the Grammy winner as their new aunt.
“The girls are thrilled. They’re so excited they're getting another aunt,” Kylie shared. “And we could not be more excited for them and what the future holds. We love love, and we love Taylor and Trav.”
