- Kate Middleton and Queen Camilla secretly influenced Andrew Mountbatten Windsor being banished from royal life.
- The pair were "actively involved" in discussions and King Charles' statement had a "female touch."
- Not only did Andrew lose his "prince" title, he's been forcibly evicted from the Royal Lodge.
Andrew Mountbatten Windsor (FKA Prince Andrew) was stripped of his title and evicted from the Royal Lodge last week, a decision that King Charles made with—apparently—a lot of influence from the rest of the royal family. Including Kate Middleton and Queen Camilla.
People reports that the royals were "actively involved" in discussions leading up to the announcement, and a source claims they "sensed a female touch" in King Charles' statement.
Quick reminder of said statement:
"His Majesty has today initiated a formal process to remove the Style, Titles and Honours of Prince Andrew. Prince Andrew will now be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor. His lease on Royal Lodge has, to date, provided him with legal protection to continue in residence. Formal notice has now been served to surrender the lease and he will move to alternative private accommodation. These censures are deemed necessary, not withstanding the fact that he continues to deny the allegations against him. Their Majesties wish to make clear that their thoughts and utmost sympathies have been, and will remain with, the victims and survivors of any and all forms of abuse."
"I would think the Queen had a hand in that," the source says. "There would have been a push from Camilla and Catherine, and there was pressure from William, who would not want to inherit the headache. It was a family decision. It was quite strong, and I was quite proud when I heard it."
The insider adds that the family is "definitely looking to the future. This could all be part of that. William and Catherine are moving soon, and all their comments have been about looking to the future."
Innnnteresting.
