• Justin Bieber and Hailey Bieber recently celebrated the first birthday of their son, Jack Blues Bieber, on Aug. 22.
  • Hailey has previously opened up about her traumatic birth experience with Vogue, admitting that dying had “crossed her mind” during labor.
  • Justin recently revealed more details from the experience, saying that he had “butted heads” with Hailey’s nurse and doula.

Justin Bieber is getting candid about one of his most important milestones: the birth of his one-year-old son, Jack Blues. During a Twitch live stream earlier this week (because, yes, the Biebs has crossed over to the fan-favorite streaming platform), he shared some rare insight from Hailey Bieber’s labor.

As he sat on a couch with friends, the SWAG artist revealed that tensions were high during Jack’s birth. “We had a doula and then we had a nurse as well, and the nurse and the doula were really kind of butting heads. Then, I was butting heads with the doula,” he admitted, before adding, “I was hella emotional because it’s like, this is like one of the most important times of your life.”

While he felt he “was being really strong with the doula,” the “Yukon” hitmaker revealed that Hailey was starting to “feel anxious” about the interaction as she went into labor.

“She was like, ‘You need to apologize to the doula. Like…just clear the air,’” J.B. shared, explaining that he eventually issued an apology because of his “heightened emotions” showing up as a first-time father.

He added, “I was just like, ‘I’m sorry, I’m really sorry, my emotions are heightened, I don’t want you to take away from my moment either as the dad, like I got this, too.’ There are times when I need to console Hailey, and I felt like she was pushing me to the side.”

Back in May, Hailey also opened up about her experience giving birth during her Vogue cover story, admitting that it was “the hardest thing” she’s ever done.

“That shit was so crazy. That was not fun. They broke my water. I went into labor and I labored for a few hours. No epidural, nothing,” the Rhode founder said, explaining that she had to be induced during her 18 hours of labor.

The model-turned-mogul also revealed that she experienced postpartum hemorrhage and feared she would bleed out.

“I trust my doctor with my life. And so I had peace that I knew she would never let anything happen to me,” she shared. “But I was bleeding really badly, and people die, and the thought crosses your mind.”

More recently, Hailey gave Beliebers a rare glimpse into parenting with the “One Time” singer during an October appearance on Owen Thiele’s In Your Dreams podcast, where she revealed she “definitely” wants more kids down the line.

“Once they’re here, you just figure it out day by day. And it’s like, every single day, I’m learning about how to be a mom and what’s best for my son and what’s best for me as a mom,” she told the Adults actor before admitting she has “full-time help” when it comes to raising her son.

“I would never shy away from talking about that because I wouldn’t be able to have my career and do the things that I do without the help, and I’m really grateful for that,” she shared, adding, “If he’s not with me, he’s with his dad. He’s always with his family, and he’s always with one of us, or with his godparents.”

Glad to see the Biebers are doing better a year in!
