• RuPaul’s Drag Race season 17 queen Joella Dynasty stole the 2025 Emmys red carpet by cosplaying as a life-sized Labubu in a custom Lauren Rose look.
  • Joella posed alongside fellow RPDR contestants at the Governor’s Gala and said the outfit honored her “slay-sian” identity.
  • BLACKPINK’s Lisa, a known Labubu fan, snapped a photo with Joella at the event.

The 2025 Emmy Awards red carpet brought everything from a Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco hard-launch to a Michael Jackson impersonator, and, yes, even a Labubu. No, your eyes aren’t deceiving you—the beloved toy made a life-sized appearance at the awards show on Sunday, September 14, and it just so happens to be a cast member of RuPaul’s Drag Race.

Season 17 contestant Joella Dynasty fully pulled up to the coveted awards ceremony as a Labubu. She wore a red dress over a tan, furry suit with ears sticking out of a woven hat, all designed by Lauren Rose. Her face peeked out of a circle cutout, with makeup resembling the character’s signature sharp-toothed smile and big eyes. Joella also topped off the look with a purse shaped like a takeout container. Consider us obsessed:

The drag performer wore the look to honor her “slay-sian” identity, and she turned heads as she posed alongside her fellow RPDR contestants, Hormona Lisa, Kori King, Acacia Forgot, Arrietty, Suzie Toot, Jewels Sparkles, Sam Star, and Lana Ja’Rae, at the Emmys’ Governor’s Gala.

Oh, and BLACKPINK’s Lisa—who pulled up as part of The White Lotus cast and happens to be a massive Labubu lover—had a ball with Joella as they posed for a snap together. The queen dropped the photo on her Instagram Stories, writing, “Y’ALL OMFGGG.”
