Se l'estate 2024 è stata quella della brat summer, Charli XCX è pronta a cedere il testimone alla sua amica e collega, Lorde. La sorellanza tra le due artiste, tornata più forte che mai con "Girl, so confusing", si traduce oggi in una potentissima alleanza dentro e fuori dal palco. Direttamente dallo stage del Coachella Festival, dove Charli XCX è stata raggiunta da Lorde per il duetto sul brano di Brat, l'artista inglese ha annunciato che la prossima stagione che ci attende sarà la Lorde Summer 2025. E questo significa solo una cosa: presto arriverà nuova musica di Lorde, magari proprio un nuovo disco.

Come sarà la Lorde Summer 2025

L'altra metà di Brat, lo ying indie dello yang elettronico, Lorde sembra pronta a conquistare il proprio spazio di rilevanza culturale con ciò che verrà, puntando su un fenomeno come quello che è stato l'album del 2024 di Charli XCX. L'ultimo disco dell'artista neozelandese, Solar Power, risale al 2021 e oggi quindi i tempi sembrano maturi per un nuovo progetto. L'indizio in più è che Lorde ha cancellato tutti i post dal proprio profilo Instagram, pubblicando poi nel giro dell'ultima settimana appena un paio di nuovi post: uno direttamente dal Coachella e l'altro in cui appaiono un cuore disegnato sulla condensa e un tavolo con tastiera, pieno di appunti su fogli sparsi.

Gli indizi sul nuovo album di Lorde

Anche la bio Instagram di Lorde sembra un chiaro riferimento a quella che sarà la sua prossima era musicale: «I temi sono sempre gli stessi: il ritorno all'innocenza, i misteri del sangue, il desiderio di trascendenza». Ultimo, ma non per importanza, su TikTok Lorde ha pubblicato un brevissimo video in cui cammina nel Washington Square Park di New York, accompagnato da alcune note di quella che sembra una nuova canzone, intitolata "WWT" che sulle note elettroniche recita: «Da quando avevo 17 anni, ti ho dato tutto/ Ora ci svegliamo da un sogno, beh tesoro, cos'era quello?/ Cos'era quello?».

Ad oggi non abbiamo una data per l'uscita del prossimo singolo (e album?) di Lorde, ma i fan più attenti hanno notato che, nella bio Spotify dell'artista, è comparsa per alcuni giorni la scritta «04.25». Noi, nel dubbio, annulliamo tutti gli impegni del 25 aprile e rimaniamo in ascolto.
